** NO COVER ** and cheap drinks!

August 5th Lineup:

*Psynapse
Indymojo // G-9 Collective // Juxtapoze

Nicknamed "Dubstep Jesus", this messiah is arguably the most prolific Dubstep DJ in Indianapolis. A Juztapoze regular, Psynapse likes to lead his congregation through a web of dirty bass-lines and womp wobbles that can convert even the casual listener into a fan. This is the kid who destroyed the Bassnectar after party at Red Room! Do not miss this!

*Sea Monkey
Induceonline.com

Sea Monkey is a primarily Drum & Bass and Dubstep DJ. However, he tends to focus on the fringe elements of these genres, incorporating many styles of music that may leave listeners with a new definition of these familiar labels. Sea Monkey is going to start us off with a special 2-hour down tempo set!

*Hollow Point
Mad Girl

Drum&Bass/Dubstep DJ Hollow Point is making moves and rising through the ranks of Indianapolis's elite bass-heavy DJs. His style makes sure to keep the audience moving with thick basslines and he always has something for everyone. Now teamed up with Mad Girl Promotions, the sky's the limit for this dancefloor-friendly DJ. Catch him every week on his online radio show, Wednesday nights at 9pm ET hosted by www.boost.fm

*Kodama
Indymojo // G-9 Collective

Prior to his life in Indianapolis, Kodama was a tree spirit, much like the ones from Princess Mononoke - spinning great beats and entertaining the many creatures of the forest. From sexy dubstep to electro house, you never know what Kodama has in store for the masses.

just curious but is some1 bringing subs? because the as far as i recall the mousetrap just has some jbl eon's....with no subs.

Excellent turnout for the first night! In the future, if the option exists to run monitors from the booth output of the mixer as opposed to using the house monitors, you should definitely do that so the DJ has control over the booth level. During soundcheck, I told Matt that the booth level was fine, but during my set I realized how high I was having to crank the cue level to hear what I was doing. Aside from that, everything looked and sounded great! I brought my camera, but unfortunately left the memory stick at home, so I didn't get any pictures from the night. I'll get all of the sets uploaded once I get my recorder back. Thanks for having me play!

Here's the tracklist for my set:

01. Angelo Badalamenti - Fats Revisited
02. Spring Heel Jack - Regal Talkies
03. PFM - How Do You Do?
04. LTJ Bukem - Moodswings
05. Forces of Nature & Longers - Nature's Way
06. The Halftones - That Musical Difference
07. K-Scope - The Setup
08. High Contrast - Return of Forever (Swell Session Remix)
09. Vincent - Blofeld
10. ESP & Substance - Run the Gauntlet (Instrumental)
11. LTJ Bukem - Cosmic Interlude

also...glad to see my nomenclature has made it into print:

The first installment of the bi-weekly event will feature the dubstep Jesus (a.k.a. Psynapse)

%)

Thank you Mr. Monkey!!!!

All of those sets were ON POINT!

Couple sound tweaks here and there, but I think we isolated the issue for next time.

We'll definitely mention the monitor issue too.

Thanks to everyone who made it out! That place was bangin!

Next one is August 19th. Lineup TBA

I don't say this often, but I feel like all of the talent that played before me set the bar really high. Sea Monkey really set the mood and lit the torch that would be carried throughout Kodama, Psynapse, and my own sets.

Great opening night for Altered Thurzdaze!
