Just wanna know if codeine will compete for the enzymes or help potentiate oxycodone? I have codeine and doxylamine succcinate in the one tablet and want to take the doxlamine to potentiate the oxycodone but not if the codeine will be competing for the same enzymes and inhibit instead. Also if okay to take them both together (aside from obvious cns depression issues - low doses of both) take at the same time or which first? Thanks

I don't think codeine inhibits metabolism of oxycodone or vice versa, I am yet to try this combo but have heard it is enjoyable from several sources. If you are taking codeine tablets with doxylamine I imagine they contain panadol/acetaminophen/APA or ibuprofen. You do not want to take more than a few of these as panadol and ibuprofen are harmful to your organs.

If you have much of an opiate tolerance then I doubt the likely small dose of codeine will add much in the way of effects but probably will add some. I don't find oxy particularly sedating where codeine is quite sedating, so it will probably make your buzz more sedating. I also imagine you would experience more itching and nausea.

Doxylamine succinate is probably my antihistamine of choice to use with opiates. It has a mildly sedating effect whilst reducing the itching and nausea that opiates cause. If you take too high a dose it is possible to experience delerient effects. I reccomend 25-50mg of doxylamine for opiate potentiation/antihistamine purposes.

Even in small doses the addition of codeine and doxy has the possibility to increase the effects from your usual dose of oxy quite nicely.

I ate 250mgs of codeine phosphate on top of my usual percocet dose. Did not experience any increased euphoria, but did get increase in unwanted side effects, ie nausea, sleepiness. IMO you'd be better off just increasing your oxy dose if you want stronger effect.

i don't think the codeine will interfere coz codeine is metabolized into morphine, and oxy, i dunno, but not metabolized into morphine so it acts on different enzyms i would think... and you might want to take a doxylamine tab 30 mins before droppin the codeine coz it will prevent the mad itching.

Would you say codeine or oxy is a better high at an equvalent dose? Not mgs, but per converter-equivalent dosage let's say 30mg Oxy, and whatever that is in codeine} Oxy seems to always rank higher up there, but I've come to think codeine is actually the better high much to my surprise.

Oxy is always better than codeine. Oxy's convert into oxymorphone by memory.
Codeine to morphine 10%. I love codeine cause i don't get side effects even over 1g dose. I took 400mg oxy's the other day and it was awsome. Maybe the equiv to 2g's codeine, although i havn't had the balls to go higher than 1.5g. The good thing about oxy's is you can smoke em or shoot em if you're into that. But smoking pills is stupid and shooting them is to extreme for me, but the slosest feeling to H i've had was codeine. Oxy tastes like H when smoked or railed. Sorry, you can rail oxy's, nothing wrong with that imo. Still be careful when jumping to high doses, as it can kill ya quick. I have no regard for my life, thus i try crazy shit all the time. Still going though. And proved that ceiling effect in codeine is BULLSHIT. I'll try both if get some oc's again but it aint easy. I'd stay with codeine as w/ds are a breeze compared to oxy. Plus the side effects for most are unbrearable. Itching etc. So stops you from getting a huge tollerance. Good luck mate.

Or phenergan (promethazine). Depending what country you're from.
Doxy is sold as dozile, a sleep aid/ anti-histamine.

I found promethazine to bring on the nod much better. They love that combo in Texas i believe. But taking both codeine and oxy will weaken the effects of the last drug taken. Both use cyp2d6 liver enzyme to convert the drugs in question. So, i'd take the oxy first then the codeine and phenergan etc. As all 3 of these drugs compete for the same enzyme.
Peace.

I havent taken codeine since last summer. Are withdrawals for codeine as bas as other opiates? Just wondering because I wanted to start taking codeine, that way I can also keep my tolerance down to the stronger opiates.

I personally don't think so. I can take high doses of Codeine for over a week and not go into withdrawal when I stop, but if I take Oxy for more than a few days, I go through withdrawal.

In my experience, codeiene and oxycodone yield different effects. I find a low amount of codeine (~100 - 200mg depending on tolerance) to compliment the effects of oxycodone whereas a higher dose of codeine (~200 - 400mg again depending on tolerance) will need oxycodone soon after it kicks in to keep the high going. Otherwise you'll end up having a shit time after the high ends and you'll itch like crazy. That's my experience with the two together anyway...

I've done this exact combination and it works well. I did 20mg of doxy, 30mg codeine, 15mg oxycodone and then around an hour later I took another 5 mg of oxycodone.
