Do you ever forget certain states exist?

Anybody else have to learn that song that lists the 50 states alphabetically? It was called "50 Nifty United States". I had to learn it in like 6th grade, and I still remember it.

So did my sisters, when I was young.

It was right before a family road trip.

I still sob quietly when I think of that song.

It does come in handy sometimes, but yes it is quite annoying.

And on family road trips... my god.

Did you sing that before or after the other alphabetical song/game "my name is Adam and I come from Alabama, my wifes name is Alice and we sell apples". Not sure if that is exactly how is goes but its close.

Don't get too distracted though, or you might miss out on seeing some more license plates from different states haha.

I'm from New Hampshire (my family moved there from NY when I was 16) but I go to college in Florida. One time I was buying cigarettes at a gas station in Orlando, and the lady almost didn't sell them to me because looked at my ID and didn't know that New Hampshire was a state 8)

I never hear anything about Montana, Wyoming, Missouri, Iowa or Indiana.

i tried filling out a blank map of all the states the other day for fun and i mixed up Wyoming with Kansas and completely forgot about Arkansas, Iowa and Nebraska.

Shit if it weren't for Kansas (KU) basketball and March Madness right now I'd have probably forgot Kansas was a state all together.

i dont think anyone from NY could point out Arkansas or Iowa on a map if we got paid to.

theres a game where you take a blank piece of paper and unlimited amount of time and have someone list out all 50 states..3 of us took this test, 2 of us couldnt remmeber one and the 3rd person couldnt remeber like 4 or 5 but all 3 of us missed the same state...new jersey

I went to rehab in South Dakota, so I will never forget that one.

I think that if I didn't live in Illinois I might forget about it as well.
how could you forget illinois, we have the greatest city in the world

ahhh Americans ....

Maybe Idaho. It's not too small of a state but i never hear about it . Apart from once a few days ago but that's about it lol .
I guess nothing much happens in potato growing country lol
the only thing i know about idaho besides potatoes is the blue turf

I think the old PC game "Oregon Trail" is the main reason Americans in their 20's know of the state.
that and the fact they have the coolest uniforms in college football

Thankfully i live in england - we know usa only has new york, florida and california - are the rest counties in these three countinents ? hahaha ;)
you have no idea what your talking about, do you?

i was in orlando trying to buy cigarillos on vacation when i was like 20..well the lady at the gas station wouldnt sell to me bc she said i was using a fake..first she busts out the ID book and looks it up, says no i was like bullshit im 20 call your manager..i go sir why would i have a fake ID to tell you im 20 years old dont you think i would have one that says im 21 at least? he goes "well your ID doesnt match, your goes up and down instead of across" i go thats because we just got new IDs in the state and the reson why mine goes up and down is because thats an under 21 ID and your comparing it to a 21 and over ID...the manager goes oh yeah, hes ok..

Chicago has most everything you could possibly want in a city...city operations run relatively smoothly, diverse population, distinctive and interesting neighborhoods, gorgeous architecture, any drugs you want, relatively friendly people and a low-key atmosphere which I like.

when did they move NYC to Illinois.

PS. somehow i dont associate Chicago with IL or IL with ChicAGO.

IL seems like a dead, boring state.
Chicago on the other hand is pretty cool from time to time;)

if you think illinois relies on the city of chicago, then new york state is like that but tmes 20..

ive been to new york and absolutly hated it,its too much..chicago is better then NY for the fact that we have everything if not more to offer in a smaller, cleaner environment that sits on a freshwater ocean..chicago is easy to get around, and its cheaper..its also nice to be able to have homes on multiple acres in really well regarded school district and be only a 15 minute drive to the city

we also are the greatest sports city in america..collectivly no other city's sporting teams come close to the prestige and history that ours do.

that's retarded, if you were going to make a fake ID why would you make one that was up and down if no one else had up and down ones? New Hampshire does that too for under 21's, but they started doing it after I got my license so I have a normal across one. The gas station lady who didn't believe me at first was hispanic and didn't speak english well so she probably doesn't know about much outside of Florida (not trying to be racist or anything, there are just a lot of hispanic people here who can barely speak english, my boyfriends dope dealer cant speak a word of it and yet somehow we always understand him!)

these where older white people..im talkin 40 something for him and maybe 50 for her
but yes it was retarded...they where going by the book literally, my words didnt matter ..

I think that NY is one of the most diverse states. A lot of people just associate NY with the city, but head east and you have long island which have suburbs ranging from mid-high class. Beaches on the north and south shores which means boating, fishing and surfing and hott girls, and eastern LI has a lot more open land (farms, wineries, woods) and then the hamptons and montauk point.

If you go north from the city you have a lot of lakes, and the catskill and adirondack mountain ranges, and tons of open land.

As for sports, I hate to admit it but Massachusetts holds it down teams including the New England Patriots, the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Bruins.

I was the shit at that game or maybe my families often died cause I never killed enough oxen. I think it was just oregon trail's way of letting me know that the boy I chose from my 4th grade class to be my primitive husband would not provide me a fulfilling future

what about new mexico? what has that bitch ever given the rest of us besides aliens (u can decide for urself whether i mean legal or illegal).
