Seizures aren't fun...tramadol

OK, please don't flame me for posting yet another tiresome thread about tramadol. Its just that, in the interest of harm reduction, I'm curious as to what peoples experiences are in combining tram with a proven anti-seizure med (ie valium, klonopin, ativan.. benzos mainly). Also, as tolerance to nearly all effects of benzos build with continued daily use, would it even matter if mixing tram and valium since Ive been (legally) using valium daily for several years and many reports say that valium is a poor choice for long term control of seizures. Its just that swim so loves the unique high of tram that they would be DEVASTATED if they had a seizure beacuse that would most certainly end the tram career. Any and all info is much appreciated.

no problem bro
as for answering your question well its quite difficult, because the seizure threshold is variable, it can be very high for some, and very low for others... so even if you're on anti-epileptic benzos like diazepam or clonazepam i wouldn't push it past 400-500mg max of tramadol per day, in the intention of harm reduction.. there are people here who have taken far higher doses and survived, but you don't want to be that one unlucky bugger....

hope this helps a bit

thanks for the info phat...yeah, ive seen people doing upwards of 1500mg of tramadol in a day and cringe at the thought. in the spirit of harm reduction, anyone new to tramadol i would say never exceed 150mg in a day until you know how it affects you (you may not get anything from it either...its a hit or miss drug). As well my question was for my personal tolerances to each substance respectively, so like phat said, try not to be the poor bugger who ends up in the ER with a sliced tounge and explaining to the docs why you were abusing tramadol. be safe everyone!
