the 1980s movie vault

Oooh, looks interesting. I like Argento, and you and I seem to appreciate a lot of the same shiz, Joe. :)
:)

good to see a mention of raising arizona, gotta give that a viewing asap.

Glen: Say that reminds me, how'd you get that kid so darn fast? Me and Dot went in to adopt on account a' somethin' went wrong with my semen, and they said we had to wait five years for a healthy white baby. I said, "Healthy white baby? Five years? What else you got?" Said they got two Koreans and a negra born with his heart on the outside. It's a crazy world.

H.I.: Someone oughta sell tickets.

Glen: Sure, I'd buy one.

I had this in VHS. I fell in love with Adrian Lyne, Bryan Ferry and a pre-fucked up surgery Mickey Rourke a loooong time ago because of this movie <3<3

Gleaming the Cube was the first movie I thought of when I saw the thread title. I have dreamed of converting an old fallout shelter into a bedroom ever since. Tony Hawk, and Mike Magill were some of the skaters used to film the stunts. *dusts of old Vision wear t shirt*

On that theme I also loved Pump up the Volume, but strictly speaking it was 1990. Man the dirty thoughts I had for Samantha Mathis after that movie.

I'd also vote for The Gods Must Be Crazy.

Good call on The Lost Boys. I could probably quote the entire thing. :)

Now, I never read the novel of the same name, but I used to watch the film a lot when I was little. It really used to terrify me, and I guess the whole incestuous undertones were way too vague for the film to succeed on any level. But I always enjoyed it anyway. :)
