The Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office has made a seventh arrest, 19-year-old Skylar C. Ping, in the intentionally set fire on July 14 at the Grandview Apostolic Church in Brown County.
They arrested Nathan R. Bauermeister, Jonathan K. Mings, Dalton J. Poe and Cody L. Watts, Stephen A. Moore and one juvenile earlier this week.
The Brown County Prosecutor’s Office, Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) continue to be involved in the ongoing investigation. Initial reports say that the kids set fire to the church while high on LSD, and they are blaming the drug for their crime.

Those with information about the Grandview Apostolic Church fire or any other intentionally set fire are encouraged to call either line. All calls will be kept confidential.
An award of up to $1,000 is being offered through the Crime Stoppers Hotline. An award of up to $5,000 through the Indiana Arson Hotline is available for individuals who provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of person(s) in connection with the intentionally set fire.
