I am a recent arrival to Bluelight, having lurked here for sometime and thought I'd introduce myself by sharing my goals for joining as well as a recent experience. In recent months I've begun to devote much of my time to researching the chemistry and pharmacology of psychedelics. I became fascinated by the concept of the fourth substitutions of Phenethylamines and the near endless possibilities for exploration. Psychedelics, nootropics, novel anti-psychotics and a near endless assortment of other possibilities await their exploration.
In addition, i thought id share a recent psychedelic experience which has helped to reshape my view of the world around me. On a recent LSD trip i found myself staring at the large mirror in my bathroom. Suddenly the entirety of my field of vision began to shake violently and slowly all the objects in the bathroom separated in to two separate images; one solid (the original) and one glowing roughly three inches from the original. I attempted to pick up the bar of soap but before i reached it the solid image vanished leaving only the glowing ones behind and making the room appear to shift three inches left. For an instant it felt as though i transferred into a new dimension, much akin to my experiences with DMT. I stayed in this space hearing only silence for several seconds before the solid objects reappeared. The room again began to shake and the objects re-merged. It was at this time i heard my Girlfriend knocking on the door. She had been doing this the entire time only in the shifted dimension i was unable to hear it. Even now this experience fills me with wonder and is one of the most important of my psychedelic career. Thanks for reading,

Whoa...

Psychedelics and anti psychotics aren't going to mix to well. I basically believe a trip is you actually being psychotic :)

Welcome to Bluelight...

^I phrased that badly, i wasn't talking about mixing them just that the exploration of the Class of phenethylamines has produced chemicals from psychedelics to atypical anti-depressants like wellbutrin, showing their greater benefit to humanity. Don't have much of a desire to take any psychiatric medication, No need to antagonize what I've already agonized...

Yeah, neuropharms are interesting. Drugs to change trains of thought and behavior :)

Psychotic are a majority of our sober thoughts.
A trip is being cleansed, if anything, it itself is the anti-psychotic.

^ I never got into Psychedelics at all. I guess since being sick in my adult life, I would associate hallucinations more with being psychotic than anything else. Any links to threads that I would find interesting?
