Need help w/ suboxone interaction plz

Me and my girlfriend are about to start suboxone...sadly we are going to have to split an 8 mg more than likely, so obviously that means 4mg each. Here's the question: She takes 3.75 mg of tranxene twice a day and 10 mg of ambien at night. I know they say don't take benzos and other things while on suboxone but will this combo be safe for her? Also, if I can pull off a stunner and get 8mg for each of us will that be safe for her as well???
Damn...let me try to make this easier bc I just looked up, lol. It will be 4mg suboxone, basically 8mg tranxene, and 10 mg ambien, or same combo but w/ 8mg suboxone. Does anybody know if this will be safe??? I think she should lower her tranxene and cut out the ambien but of course she doesn't want to listen to me I just don't want her to get hurt while we are trying to get better...that would be the worst.

you only need 2-4 mg depending on your tolerances. if you can come up with an extra 8mg, save it for day3

You can call a pharmacy and ask.. they will counsel you about possible interactions... You can even call a pharmacy in a different city. Good luck!

the ambien isn't a very high dose nor is the tranxene.. provided she has a tolerance to dope she should be fine... but still mention it to the doctor

No I wouldn't mix those with suboxone, granted I just got started on a suboxone program I knew quite abit about it before. When used alone, the suboxone is very safe when you have an opiate tolerance, however when you mix that kind of stuff with suboxone, that when respiritory depression comes into play which is and can be fatal. Seriously the Suboxone helps a lot, I used to be on benzo's and al sorts of shit, until I started the Suboxone. And honestly I don't feel like I need it. I think that Sub's are an amazing drug, for me atleast the help a lot. You won't get high from it really, but after a 1 or 2 days I really didn't think about using other stuff as much. Just stick to the SUB in my opinion.

Side note I've been on Xanax and Clonazepam at different times and used them for a few years everyday, but I weaned down to about 1 to .5 mg of Clonazepam and then when I started the suboxone I didn't go through anything from stopping the benzo's. I would say give up the other stuff for awhile and try just the suboxone. You might be pretty amazed.

For real be careful that a powerful drug.

I took my Suboxone with Ambien the first couple of days I had it and it actually made me feel kind of sick/weird. Once I stopped the Ambien everything was much better. So I actually felt better without the ambien if you can believe that.

Depends on how long you've been taking the two of them. I am on 4mg Suboxone and I take 20mg Valium. The highest benzodiazepine dose that I've been on is 4mg Klonopin while on 8mg Suboxone. I always felt fine but I had been on benzodiazepines for 10 years. High tolerance.

So how long have you been on the two drugs?
If you've been on them for over a year I'd say that it would be perfectly fine. If you have been on them for just a few months than I'd say give it a try but if you feel sick the first couple days than I'd cut the dose of both drugs in half. If only a month, cut your dose it half and see how you feel. If sick, stop taking it.

But everyone needs to remember that some Suboxone doctors actually prescribe benzodiazepines.
