Same dicksizing "how many pills have you taken in one night?" threads

Same E tarded questions.

Same drug mixing questions

Same plugging questions.

There's few new topics around here in ED, compared to the rest of blue light. While everyone's different, and reacts to drugs differently, and while there is an archive of "Read here before posting"

I think that there should be a really new/noob friendly "ED" compilation, that people new to the forums can read up on similar/exact same questions/answers prior to posting a question(s) that's already been posted a bunch.

I personally think that would clean up ED, and provide more useful insight to those who have questions in which can't be found using the search button/ are unique in their own way . . . Simultaneously, making this forum nicer and providing more harm-reduction more efficiently.

Thats the nature of this area Vincent. Its a place that is designed to help educate those who come seeking knowledge.

In ten years time you will still be seeing the same questions because there will still be people out there who need educating.

Thats the whole point of this place.

Our view on it is that it makes more sense to answer several questions over and over that are answered in various archives in the name of harm reduction, than to tell someone UTFSE and turn them away to possibly do something reckless. ED is about harm reduction first and foremost and we are happy to answer the same questions as many times as needed to ensure the happiness and safety of everyone.

I hear you brother. I often have to take a break from ED--I just feel like I'm spinning in circles reading the same things over and over.

No wonder some of the mods get so grumpy! :)

you just have too, and thanks

:/ I'm just saying that if a same question receives the same answers, or the same dicksizing thread gets closed, why not provide summary and insightful noob guide that's a good read, prior to posting here?

idk, I'm coming off some mdmc.
it's weird.

PIHKaL's MDMC or methylone? We try to have information about what's appropriate and what isn't in the rules and archives. Are you saying have an even larger compendium aside from the MDMA FAQ, rules, etc.?

Vincent, you know that unfortunately a lot of greenlighters don't read any of that stuff. I have most of my drug experience with marijuana, and reading CD I see the exact same trend I see here...sometimes UTFSE is a pain because you may have to search for several different terms identifying the same thing before you encounter the info you want, and especially if you aren't experienced with online forums that might not be too easy. I'm not defending the clutterful "pointless" threads, but MazDan is absolutely right.

Yeah, never really considered that.

If they aren't going to click that the best you can do is let them know it is there or answer their question to the best of your ability. It can be frustrating but I figure the more I answer the same questions the less people out there amking the same mistakes I did.

I've popped 100 pills in one night! what's a E-tard? Am I one??? Can I mix X T C with drugz?? Plugging is up the arse right???

lol.

Everyone has to start somewhere =) There's no harm in asking questions. There's much more harm in ignorance ~.^

The main problem is there is so much information to be found here that it becomes hard to use the search (using the exact correct terms), and a lot of people lack the attention span to look through the main directory when it's so much easier to post a new thread and wait for answers. It's also kind of a pain when the answer is buried in the middle of a big and dandy thread somewhere.

If you get frustrated, just ignore the repetitive threads for awhile, or take a break and do some reading up yourself. I get bored of it sometimes as well, but I think things are run very well in ED. And you can't ignore the fact that the same question asked again will sometimes bring new insight and open up other topics that were not touched on in the "same" thread from last year.

Wait, you didn't goto jail?

*claps*

This exactly.

It may be hard, but some of you need to think back to when you knew little to nothing about a particular substance. We are never going to stop people from asking questions that pertain to harm reduction, that's the core mission of this board.

The range of different substances in here is so small as well. The content is of course going to be a bit redundant, but if we left every thread to "UTSFE" we wouldn't have any new threads.
