All the people i know who take acid talk funny

I know a fair few hippy type acid heads and all of those people talk in random phrases.

like the other day my mate called me a "hip lobster" and then his friend responded with "mum gave me the wrong pills" and they would spend all day spitting the randomst shit to each other.

dont get me wrong, i think its pretty funny. does anyone else talk like that?
 
Maybe it is like inside dialog...? You know language is a pretty inefficient tool... So I know that I have some sounds, words, gestures, or phrases in which you really had to be there initially for it to make any sense...
 
Why should people conform to speaking 'normal' when they have such a vast language at their disposal? Sounds like you need to unwind yourself, fignuts
 
That's certainly not universal. It could be part of a (probably drug inspired) inside joke that you're not inside of (and/or some friendly trolling).
 
actually, the whole "hip lobster" thing is a pretty well documented phenomena. somehow, the cascade of effects that are caused by lsd binding to your 5ht2a receptors affects the language center of your brain and causes you to want to produce a sound that sounds almost like "hip lobster." the true sound isn't "hip lobster," supposedly, but that is the closest approximation in english, so that's what comes out.

some people say that the word that lsd tries to make you spit out is actually the name of god, but thats a topic for another thread in a different forum, probably.
 
Dude that's exactly what happened to me after the first time I took acid. But I was doing it strictly for the lulz.

After dropping more than a milligram at once, i have no intention of ever doing less than that....

seriously, past that is when things get interesting.

I talk like that. Why should I spend my whole life talking how everyone else wants me to? Right? My tripper friends and I say stupid shit like that just to experience it.

Put it this way, I have tripper friends and non tripper friends; If I were to say something like that to my tripper friends they would understand it's just stupid ass shit that sounds funny, but if I said such a thing to my non tripper friends they would say something along the lines of "Oh you're so random why are you so random all of the time?" Or something like "Oh where did that come from all of the sudden?"

It's happens to me all of the time, what bothers me the most is people who take things too literally. A person doesn't have to use the right word for you to know what they mean.

I hate when people take things super literally like life is a big fat english test. I'm getting all worked up now so I'm going to stop typing now, If you couldn't tell I think in a nonlinear way which is the reason that the end of my post is in the middle of my post....




Have you ever tripped before? If you haven't then perhaps that's the reason you don't understand the reasoning behind this sort of dialogue.

People tell me that I'm random all of the time, but the real reason they are saying that is because I'm not thinking about everything that they are at that moment and they don't understand why. It's my mind and I'll think and say what I want to when I want to. And if you think it's random well then that's what happens when you have a bunch of neurotransmitters governing your every move and thought.

Explain to me why two people shouldn't spit stupid random shit to each other.

Sorry if that whole fiasco I just typed sounded dumb, I tried to explain it the best I can, some people just can't and never will get it though.

It's just stupid ass shit that sounds funny man, that's all. =D
 
have you ever noticed how trippers fingers always seem to fing all over the place?
