LSD trip around my mom

Well I would not do it unless your mom is totally cool with you eating LSD...If it turns out to be some strong hits you might be fuckin blasted beyond basic communication...
 
If you're not mature enough to figure out a way to get yourself home (or to an appropriately safe place to stay the night) without your mother's help or permission, you're not mature enough to take LSD.

Wait until you've moved out. If you're not independent enough to take responsibility for your own living space and your own diet, you're not independent enough to take responsibility for your own mind yet either.

I disagree, When I was younger I took psychedelics and returned home after, sometimes with the assistance of my parents (what if buses are off?) and I feel even at that age I was responsible enough to trip.

Mind explaining your reason? I'm 17 and am actually planning to trip next week. What's the reason we should wait IYO.

If you have benzos, then taking them 20 minutes before she picks you up would be perfect. Benzos can cancel a trip from someone tripping complete balls if you take enough. But 20mg of Valium will smooth and dull the trip right out 8hrs in and make you able to converse with your mum with much less paranoid thoughts. Pupils might be massive still though but benzos will also make them smaller. You could take even more benzos and just say your tired, stumble to your bed when you get in and sleep.
 
Benzo's wont cancel a trip per say, they'll just put you to sleep.

IMO adding benzos is a bit risky, especially if you dont use 'em often. You have a higher risk of doing something stupid, and probably wont remember it!
 
ive talked to my mom for over an hour peaking on 8 hits. she knew i was fucked up i just said i was twisted. and it was also in the dark helping the pupil ordeal. like he said acting sober is difficult, its why u gotta just say somethin else
 
I've tripped around my mom for about 30 seconds before. It was 30 seconds of horror, don't do it.
 
When tripping around people you know will judge you negative for being high, it can really ruin it or maybe send you into a bad trip.

Unless your parents are ok with you taking psychedelics, it's a recipe for potential disaster.

With that said I've tripped around my parents but usually not around peak and it was never on a very strong dose.

as long as she doesn't pick you up in the first 3 or 4 hours of the trip you should be fine. Somewhere in the middle of the trip is where I usually begin to gain control of the trip when I dose high. I'll be in and out and all lost for a few hours... then I'll figure out the way I gotta be, and I be. when i was younger I was able to handle myself pretty well in front of my parents especially my mom... my dad was a little tougher because he always made me nervous regardless of whether I was tripping out or not. But usually I am very enthusiastic so being around my mom was more fun than it was scary. she didn't really understand my drug use, but was still somewhat against it. However we had many happy moments together while I was all tripped up. She doesn't really care anymore though because I have explained things to her.
 
I'd say overall that it would be better to not have the "OH SHIT MY MOMS COMING" anxiety going on when I'm tripping.

You could be fine, but I can't see that being anything but a really shitty ride home. Do as you will though.
 
Worst idea I've ever heard. Save the acid for a day your parents aren't around, you'll be really happy you did.

It's never fun to have to tell the acid in your brain "Pipe down up there I have to be normal in front of mom now."

That's just not how drugs work man.

Done that around my mom as well, god I made some insanely stupid promises to her those nights.

Either spend the night at a friends house, or stay sober.

Once again, if you have to force it, its not going to be worth it.
 
Trust me man, almost anything but a little liquour and some bud is a TERRIBLE idea to have around parents who don't approve Especially tripping. Just going through that chain of events gave me the icks.

You're hangin out trippin having fun, you check the time, or worse, your mom calls. You try assembling what "normal people say on the phone" and confirm that you're ready to be picked up.

The fact that you're now waiting for something puts a strange standstill on the trip. You see your moms car pull up, nothing really looks normal. The cars movements aren't normal, your depth perception is off. Then you must sit in the car and your thoughts will race like mad. All the automatic things that pertain to sitting in the car with your mom are now manual functions.

Yeah I went out to eat with my parents peaking on 2c-e. Didn't turn out that bad but only because I was with a friend.

Technically your still a child. Your brain isn't fully developed until around 21, so IMO it's a good idea to put off using powerful drugs until you're a bit older
But I am aware that no force or any reasoning can compete with the determined mind of a teenager :)
 
"technically"? you mean legally?

Im fairly certain brain development doesnt stop completely til around 24 or 25 years old. I don't buy the whole "just because your young you cant possibly make responsible decisions" argument when it comes to drugs. sorry i just found it a bit condescending....

I think you should be fine by 8 hours, but it really depends on how acid affects you, do you get really bad mindfuck? I tend to feel really clearminded on lsd, but I think it depends alot on who you are and how suspicious your mom is

LOL. Yes. A few months ago I took a whole bunch of acid six or seven hours before plans to eat dinner with my parents. Somehow I expected I'd function pretty well, but I was unpleasantly disillusioned by the phenomenon you're describing. All automatic dinner routine and table manners had disappeared, and the whole meal was just incredibly awkward. I ended up spending, like, five minutes describing in gory detail the pros and cons of the chicken recipe in a strangely stiff and dry prose as my parents silently stared at me, when a simple "it's very good!" would've done the trick. :| :D
