Marquis test of DON

I can't seem to find any info on how it's supposed to react.

It would have been nice if Mr Shulgin had added info about the marquis reaction :)

Can anyone help?
 
Unfortunately I can't. That's pretty amazing that you managed to get some DON though, I've always wanted to try it (if you really did that is, which is why I assume you want to know this information). If you do have it and get to try it, please write a trip report. :)

I have received something that is supposed to be DON, but as you know, one can never be 100% sure.
I am two hours into a 0.5 mg tester and nothing felt so far.
I will do a run up and report back if I have been ripped off or not.
 
The marquis reaction. The substance is an off-white/slightly yellowish powder.
 
Okay, thanks. Very interesting... I'm sorry I can't be of any help in answering your question, but I hope that what you have is really DON because I would love to know more about it, as I'm an admirer of the DOX class. :) Could you post a picture of the powder you received, perhaps?

I wont be doing any more today. Didn't expect any activity at this level, it was just an allergy/bromodragonfly-test.

I would have expected the powder to be yellow or orange like 2c-n, but then again the pihkal entry says:
The residue that remained after the removal of the solvent was dissolved in dilute HCl which, upon evaporation of the H2O, yielded a nearly colorless residue

According to Sasha (Who haven't tested DON); [1]

Dose: 3.0 - 4.5mg (Oral) - ~5.5mg has been taken [2]
Duration: 8 - 15h

Effects: Unlike DOB, DON shows visible stimulation effect, including muscular activity slightly similar to amphetamine. It also has been known to be less visual than most of it's psychedelic amphetamine counterparts. [3] (with 4.5mg) An enhancement of color perception, and some auditory distortion, that was still noticeable some eight hours into the experience. The visual changes were intense. I felt I was running a slight fever, and was restless, but there was almost no physical malaise. I was still somewhat wound up even at the 14th hour. [4]

The toxicity of DON is not known, and it is unscheduled and unregulated in United States however because of its close similarity in structure and effects to DOM and DOB possession and sale of DON may be subject to prosecution under the Federal Analog Act.
 
I didn't feel anything from the 0.5 mg test, but I had a tough time falling asleep. Sort of like I had caffeine in my system which I didn't. I guess it could just be placebo.

I will do a 1 mg test later today. If its the real thing I would expect to get some kind of threshold effect.

What is it with all of the incredibly lucky people on BL these days ? I cant even get hold of LSD blotters anymore let alone DON! Suppose its not what you know its who you know ): On the other hand I am in easy access to some 'BANGING' Mickey Mouse stamped MDMA pills (: Never really been A big fan of beans though, they ruin me maybe even A tad too much! Peace, you very lucky person!
 
I ingested 1 mg more than 3 hours ago and I haven't noticed any effects so far...

I'm going for a 2,5 mg test on friday. According to this report that should take me off baseline:

UPDATE: Effects were pretty much identical to the report until T+3:00 where I added some methylone. (I know, I know...) It mixes well.

I'm quite sure I got the real thing :)

I'm going to up the dose to 3,5 mg or maybe 4 mg this weekend and hopefully the psychedelic side of it will be clearer.

At 2,5 mg it was purely stimulating, maybe with a tiny bit of colour enhancement.
 
I am actually becoming a bit nervous that what I have could just be MDPV.

Judging from the marquis it could be and I guess my low dose test isn't conclusive either.

I sure as hell hope it isn't, but I won't know until Friday. :!
