I got about 20g of hash about 2 weeks ago and kept it stored in a plastic medicine bottle. When I got it, it was pliable and light in color with a beautiful taste. Now its really pliable, almost mushy (kinda), and getting much darker in color with a not so pleasant taste. Do you think it's the container? I should switch to a glass jar right?

Is it bubble hash? This is a common method of making hash using only water and ice, and if the hash maker does not properly dry the hash, it will mold very easily, just like bud after a harvest.
Look at it under a magnifying glass or microscope if you have one; you should be able to see inconsistent colors/growth on it if mold is present. Something else you can do to find mold is to encourage more of it by placing some (half a gram or so) in that glass jar you have and don't open the top for a few days. If there's mold, then it will grow even nastier and become pretty obvious in a short while. If you bought this from a dispensary, I would take it back to them and ask or at the very least notify them of the problem you are having.
If it IS mold, you might have a few options here. You can try drying it out in direct sunlight with some good ventilation for a couple of days. If the problem persists, you might need to do something more drastic, like soaking the whole thing in isopropyl alcohol and extracting some hash oil out of it (killing the fungus) or you might have to throw the whole stash away if the mold is really out of control.
Do NOT take this lightly. Mold is one of the most dangerous indirect uses of cannabis and yes, it can be DEADLY.. Please, figure out what the hell is wrong with your hash before smoking any more of it and asses the problem immediately.

never has happened to me.
i actually lost about a gram of some norcal butter(bubble hash)
and was lost for two weeks in my room in the open
my gf found it and i saved it to smoke when i got home. It was totally fine, in fact tasted a bit more hashishy
i keep my hashish in plastic containers.

once bubble hash is properly dried, you can store it forever without mold. this is also true for flowers. however, if it is not properly dried, mold is almost inevitable.
