So I got kicked down about 7 ounces of mushies and didnt know what do to with em. So I ground them up, boiled them in tea bags like 5 times each run, and then continued to boil all the water out until it was this thick, black sludge. I got some of it and added it to melted chocolate. Smells strong like mushies. Anyone else ever tried anything similar to this?

You may get some effect but you're definitely not supposed to expose them to prolonged periods of high heat. Boiling it down to goo is going to be a lot of heat.

I actually boiled it on a very low heat, in a double boiler. Do you really think its destroyed? I tried a little and it seems to work fine. Tomorrow I'm going t try a much larger dose.

if you boiled it, it means the water reached temperature of at least 100 degrees celcius, ive always heard shroom tea doesn't work, and you boiled the fuck out of it

also i wouldnt injest the chemical two nights in a row because of the signifigant tolerance increase of psychedellics

Heating this stuff, esp. in a matrix could be bad, but as you've used a double boiler you're probably still in the green(ish).

From the MSDS for psilocin (the alcohol; hence i suspect the more stable of the two)

Properties:
A solid. Mp: 173–176° (decomp).

now this is the pure solid, so that might be different from your mushy goop, but i would still be careful in trying this. they might very well still be active.

futhermore, i once made mushroom chocolate by melting the chocolate au bain marie, and stirring in powdered shrooms. i have a hunch that the chocolate (i used the 72% nice-and-strong kind of dark chocolate) does something to potentiate the mushrooms.

also it tasted really good, mushrooms make me retch.

A few weeks ago I made some chocolates like that. Got the shakey, powder stuff from a few pounds, it was about 2ozs or so, and added it to some melted chocolates. This time i wanted to try it a little different.
The water or the mushie tea never actually boiled, just steamed off the top. Then after it was really, really thick I added some white chocolate to the double boiler and slowly melted the chocolate. The white chocolates are all dark brown and look like regular chocolate lol. This batch used 3.5 ozs and made 5 chocolates, they're super potent.

The best way i have found to deal with mushrooms and chocolate is to take the shrooms and grind them to a powder in a coffee grinder, get candy making chocolate and melt it down. light grease candy molds or use the silicone ones that fold away from teh candies and once the chocolate is warm enough to melt but not boiling you add the shroom powder and stir until it is evenly mixed throughout. pour the chocolate shroom mixture into the molds and use a rubber spatula to get it all into the molds. Chill for a few hours or until hard and remove and wrap in colorful confectioners foil.

I have received shroom chocolates prepared by friends this way that looked like store bought chocolates and could be safely carried around in a Tupperware with out attracting suspicion. Better luck in future chocolate baking endeavors.

one time I got some mushroom chocolates that were in the form of those chocolate oranges. I bought several, so I recieved a whole orange, I then broke off each individual wedge and consumed 1 then distributed the rest of the wedges to some friends, They were just regular chocolate, not the orange flavored chocolate, and they were quite active. Also, you could not feel the mushroom texture at all, they must have ground them up really well.

Absolutely the most novel way I have ever consumed mushies

also a good way of storing shrooms that can improve taste is honey, do a search around and there are lots of recipes on mycotopia. tastes good with a little ginger and lemon when reconstituted into hot or iced tea.

Awesome. Probably the best way. :)

does that reduce the neausea?
For me it does, and a lot of people I've talked with. But even plain, dried ones don't get me to bad.
I just wanted to try something out with the chocolates I made.

Mushrooom!

what a shame, even though i will never do shrooms again, on account of the excessive vomiting at 6+gram dosages

Sounds like you got a bitchslap from the Shroom-God :P Purge that devil boy ! I personally get more nausea off of MDMA than Mushies, they do tend to give me the shits though, maybe due to being poisonous ! :P You could try a stronger species of Mushroom at a smaller dose ? Couldnt even imagine eating 6gs of some of the potent cunts I've encountered on my journeys, An 8th is the maximum I would ever take them to, and havent even experienced that yet...
I do believe as others have said that heat destroys the active ingredient, but i dont know from first hand experience as I have always just eaten the dry caps, Peace (:

Actually, psilocybin mushrooms aren't toxic at all, so it's inaccurate to say that they're poisonous. But I believe it is hard to digest the fungal material, so that might be what causes that for you.

For me mushrooms occasionally give me a bit of an upset stomach, but generally I don't get any symptoms like nausea or diarrhea. I don't even think they taste bad, just strange.
