I recently discovered Adam Gottlieb's book, The pleasures of using Cocaine. I had to pay for the ebook download, but it was worth the 19 dollars.

It is not a pro or anti coke book... it simply explains what most gear is cut with, how to test it at home and how to spot the good from the bad. It also gives tips on how to store it, different ways of using it and it is friggin hilarious... the guy's an excellent writer...

it was written in 1979 and clearly the guy did a LOT of research!! I found it to be very interesting and informative...

like i said, he doesnt encourage using, he simply informs and educates the reader and allows him or her to make up their own mind....

well worth getting it...

Yes...

Hi,
yes, especially the flame test... we experimented with some different gear from diff dealers and the results were the same as his.

The taste test (bitter, sweet, medicinal, etc) also proved to be right... especially when it comes to mixers like adulterants, anethestetics, total flops (like talcum powder), and substances that mimic cocaine like procaine, tetracaine, benzocaine, butacaine, lidocaine etc...

they all act as coke, but are not the real deal...

apparently the ultimate test is... take a flake, crystal or rock of coke, put between the tip of the tongue and the roof of the mouth. if the coke melts in the mouth like butter and leaves not gritty residue, it is likely to be quite pure....

if it tastes sweet, it's been cut with lactose etc...

ideally, one snort should cause your nostrals to "wing"... shortly after you should taste a slightly medicinal flavour in the back of your throat...

these are just a few examples of the book... its 150 pages of absolute genius....

published by Ronin Publishing CC - and can be found on amazon or just google it... you cant download it for free... we tried!!!!

Your posts seem so very prepared. I'm a cynical cunt though, the type of dick who believes snorting coke is should only be seen in cheesy 80's drug movies, but i have a hunch...

Cynical indeed, each to his or her own I guess. Some people like hot choc fudge, others like cocaine. It's merely a case of choice. The bit I wrote down was actually quoted, not completely verbatim, from the book....

I personally prefer to educate myself about what i'm taking... have had too many bad experiences with ignorance ending in bad trips.

;)

Nope. Being in the publishing industry myself, I won't feel right doing it. It's worth paying for it and personally, ppl who are serious about the drug and the pros and cons (as the book clearly states both sides) should be the type of ppl who wouldnt mind dishing out a few bucks...
If something like this is readily available to every joe soap and his mate who thinks racking up a few lines is "cool"... then we'll have a lot of ppl taking the piss out of something that, to me, is more than just a pastime.... It would be irresponsible.

So, does his book explain how to detect levamisole, which has been implicated in causing agranulocytosis among cocaine users and is now found in a large portion of cocaine worldwide? (no, i know it doesn't, as this is a recent problem).

Not trying to be a downer, just want to make sure people realize that just because his tests come out good doesn't mean it's not adulterated with hazardous compounds.

I tried my luck when i saw the title and brief discription... once i read up on it... i decided to rather purchase it. besides, the internet is so controlled these days, you can't find anything remotely 'pro-drug' .... even gary larson has taken legal action against ppl who've downloaded his cartoons.
so much for freedom of speech and information highway.... By the way, ironically, you can download the Satanic Bible for free... how ironic.
