Hi Guys,

Took some supposedly clean Ecstasy pills (from pillreports) for 4 days in a row (stupid obviously and wont happen again). Approx 1-2 pills per night.

Before that - had not done MDMA (or any other drug) for approx 1 year,. my usage before was approx 2 times per year, maybe less

Was taking some Zolpidem (10mg) to aid sleep during the period.

Now have tried to return to life and normality - however I cannot sleep 72 hours after taking the last tablet. He lies in bed and feels tired, but sleep does not feel like it is coming. It was the same the previous night (48 hours after). There was some light, fitful sleeping with crazy dreams, but not a lot.

I had no prior sleep problems before this.

I doesn't want to take another Zolpidem as he does not want to get reliant on using this to sleep.

1. Is it normal to not sleep for a long time after a binge?
2. How long after should one seek help if one cant get their sleeping patterns back.
3. Have 10mg of valium here - should SWIM take it to relax and help sleep.

Quick answers appreciated - need to get up to work in 6 hours.

take a melatonin. your body is out of serotonin which is a precursor to melatonin which is your sleep chemical

also take out swim

Was the pillreports in the same area and fairly recent? Even if it was, you can't be sure unless you tested.. If you cant sleep 72 hours after taking your last pill, then it probably wasn't mdma..

The only clean ecstasy pill is the one 'you' have tested - Pillreports is only a guideline.

It is not normal to be awake that long after taking MDMA (clean Ecstasy) - if you use a sleeping pill only when you roll (and you say 3 times per year) then your not going to get reliant on it to sleep.

If you need to be up in 6 hours to work the I would not take any sleeping pill as the chances are you will feel awful.

I agree. If you can't sleep after this long then there must have been some potent, long lasting stimulant mixed in there.

Sounds like piperazines.
Could be meth but I always have no problem sleeping 24hours after off that.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies.

Definitely was the same batch from the same area - not rated as pips or anything else. They were rated as a clean dose of MDMA. First night's experience was a definite MDMA exp - eye wiggles, empathy, jaw movement, rushes etc. Obviously the last 2 were pretty shit due to depleted serotonin - i dont know why i carried on doing it.

I am also getting brain zaps throughout the day and night. I feel the same tonight as i did the previous 2 nights - i.e i feel like i wont be able to sleep again. Totally fucked. Worried that the 4 day non-stop binge may have caused some permanent damage to my brain.

I took 10mg of Valium last night in order to relax and fall asleep. Probably likely i will need to tonight as well. Bad news as i dont want to get reliant on depressants to fall asleep.

Should i try to tough it out and not take the Valium/Ambien?

If you're able to sleep, then you're okay now, right? Depression is pretty likely after any MDMA binge.. Personally, I would just take benadryl or something go to sleep if I was having that much difficulty.

Just eat healthy, exercise, try to stay active, etc. I know it's easier said than done, but try not to dwell on it too much, and it should pass over fairly quickly if you take good care of your body..

I agree with Bearlove. Pill reports is only a guide and should be used in conjunction with other things such as testing.

mdma does not make you stay awake. Its even possible to sleep while you are under the effects of mdma.

72 hours without sleep and no other drugs other than sleeping pills? Thats very weird and I would almost call bullshit.

I suggest you speak to a doctor and be honest with him about your drug use so he can help you.

This is not a normal situation.

Sounds like maybe the OP got his hands on a copycat.

Many people stay awake for days after high doses of bzp.

1. generally yeah. drugs build up in your system when used daily
2. 3days is not a very long time for many of our biological processes. your body will recover don't worry. you gotta give it more time
3. valium or zolpidem is fine. they both produce dependence as you said, and if you're worried about zolpidem dependence, well they are cross-tolerant. however if you use them for less than a week (and have no previous tolerance/dependence) you shouldn't need to worry about it
