It is not the users fault that mephedrone got banned....and that mephedrone was only around because the governments got rid of most MDMA. People who are breaking BL rules are being infracted/kicked off etc. but the desperation is understandable.

Responsibility is always shared my friend. Or as they say, it takes two to tango. Users always have a choice in which vendors to patronize and also how they portray themselves online and in public (i.e. at a rave or concert or club). I don't care that mephedrone or any chemical in particular got banned, that is just bound to happen over time for some chemicals. What concerns me is the potential damage to this and other vital communities to this scene, that without which, this scene would have no hubs of information to enable users to make safe and inform decisions in the first place. There are boards and chat rooms out there specifically devoted to vendor talk and similar. Go find one of those for the vendor talk. It's not for Bluelight.

I am not knocking mods in general, but in particular there are a couple whose posts are more self serving rather than to protect the community's interests. I'm ready to help out. This web site, and the larger community are too important to me to sit idly by any longer...

Myself, im very liberal and the fact that certain questions could not only £££ but lives... gets people so wound up their fingers nearly point at me through my screen is obviously worrying.

Forums like these should not sit on any horse, let alone a high one. We are all on here for one reason, to make sure our plants grow to the best of their ability. Such a new feed like this is going to take a bashing with vendor talk (albeit without names) before the real 5 IAI reports come out.

This talk is only going to add to the quality of the messages that come after it, I think it is a sad thing that you dont agree.

This has nowt to do with desperation, as mentioned above. That is something historically PMs are for, This is to do with educating the wider members... something I thought this was for.

Free speech meant I used the word vendor, what i actually meant is is this the real deal, if so what is it like.

Im sorry if so many of you feel so isolated that you have become cocooned in the rules an regs, but I would have thought it would have been otherwise.

Finally, I find it sad that open discussion is so suppressed by people like you, I find it a liberty to be able to talk openly on the internet. I dont think this was a day long discussion about where to get the best hit from, the opposite, more of if anybody has found a legit supplier who could give a good experience report.

Don't be a fool. The rules of this site (and sites like it with similar rules) exist in order to protect it from being shut down and to help protect the people that use the site. It's pretty logical if you stop and think about it for a second. If this site were to get shut down, a wealth of information already existing in it, as well as the connections between members who are doing all the vital research together to establish effects profiles of these substances so that people can better understand what they are putting into their bodies if they so choose to do so, would all be lost.

Let me draw an analogy here to maybe make sense of it to you...It's kinda like this. Your house is made of wood, plastic, and other flammable things right? So one of the rules you set for yourself while living in it is no throwing fire on the floor. You might occasionally drop some ash from your bowl by accident, but because you know this rule is important to keeping your house from catching fire, you'll jump up and pat the embers out with your foot. The rules here aren't in place to frustrate you or to make conversations boring, they are here to keep the website out of legal firepit.

Again, it's nothing to do with sitting on a high horse and looking down at anyone. If you want the site to remain up and available then don't break the rules which are in place to help maintain certain conditions that prevent the site from falling under legal scrutiny. We can't tell people what to take, or guess what they took, because that constitutes giving medical advice. If you give bad medical advice without a license and without insurance, well I guess you can imagine how much legal and financial troubles that might bring you, not to mention possible incarceration depending on whether the advice gave led to serious damage to a person, or even death. Talking about vendors only puts the website and community in hot water, linking it to persons and groups that could be seen as doing business on or thru this site, which could again lead to legal woes for Bluelight and it's members.

These rules really do make sense and are there not to hinder discussion of these chemicals and plants, that's the good part, that's why we're all here. No one is stopping you from talking about that. Disseminate away with information and data relating to the actual psychoactives BUT not their production, or sale. Those things are better left to other websites that do indeed exist out there. In a perfect world we would not need to jump through hoops to explore these things and share what we are learning, but it is a fact of life we do. The mere fact that we can enjoy a seeming never-ending array of chemical permutations, each subtly dancing beyond the line the law has set in the sand, is testament to the fact that we are jumping through hoops. Otherwise we'd be noshing on molly and needlepoint all night every night.

Sorry, I went and reported around 20 posts in less than 10 minutes of reading due to breaking the rules of the site that are here to protect it and us. PMs would not have cut the mustard. Too many people were getting caught up in vendor talk and it was honestly starting to set a precedent for it. New posters were following the lead of older posts in the thread, continuing to discuss vendors and release dates of chemicals, etc. If I have to be an public asshole in order to help put it to a stop, that's fine. I've contributed to the online psychedelic/entheogen communities for well over a decade now. If you search my username on erowid, you'll find just a small portion of the information I have contributed to the community. Search my posts here, or go to entheogen.com and search there if you still doubt my sincerity and devotion our community continue to thrive and keep each other safe.

You probably hate the crossing guard too for keeping you from walking across the freeway whenever you feel like it. This website does not exist to provide information relating to the sale of drugs or research chemicals or plant food or anything. Why you think it should provide this service to you is kind of puzzling to me. It's like demanding that the bank teller give provide you with a diagnosis of your car's engine. Just not the right venue.

I want everyone to be able to exchange what we know and learn about these things for a long time to come. I really believe the collective of us all are building the foundations of something that is slowly changing the world, some of it for the better, some of it for the worse. We have ways of controlling the outcomes of these things if we use our heads and work together.

Or we can do it your way and shoot ourselves in the collective foot.

Without wanting to bloat the thread before any effect reporing of 5iai is possible, as a newbie/just turned bluelighter I'd just like to agree/show support for the bulk of what Catfish is saying (you could maybe have been slightly more polite, but the frustration is understandable).

Its a bloody ghost thats what 6-apb is at this point to me . I have had numerous vendors waste my time. Watch yourselves kids there are people out there talking out their asses (thats aimed at the vendors not at anyone who has sampled)

Its much like the super impure MDAI that was out there tho I now personally think that they were hoodwinked by the manufacturing lab more than anything else.

It does strike me that the moment these compounds start appearing on the market a wiki article comes out.

I think it's a good thing for people to tell that what vendors are shipping at the monent isn't real. Is it vendor discusion. Sorta, but no one is posting sites (or if they do the mods deal with it quickly), they are just letting us all know not to waste our money. I'm a college student without money to burn. Knowing not to waste $ on this is much more valueable to me than some thread with a 14 year old wanting to know what cough syrup to drink.

Mods have been discussing this thread and have decided that until confirmed 5-IAI becomes available and has been tasted (ie when there is actually something to say about 5-IAI other than don't buy anything sold under that name yet) this thread will be closed and a new one started when there is a need for it.

I suspect something similar to 6-APB will happen in that (free?) samples will be available briefly and initial reports will surface with commercial quantities becoming available shortly after. I further suspect the reason it's taking so long is also related to 6-APB - was announced and trailed way too soon leaving an awkward gap between initial reports and availability. I hope those involved took note of the problems that came about as a result and are planning to apply the lessons learnt from that situation till this one. Just my opinion as to what is occurring with this stuff and may be completely wrong, but either way this thread is closed to speculation until the actual drug itself surfaces.
