Childhood Ambitions

I wanted to be a serial killer that stabs people to death with a golf tee. I've heard most people start with animals though and as a vegetarian I feel I'm doing exceptionally badly at achieving my goals.

Always wanted to be an actor. Or a voice actor for cartoons etc etc Ended up in offices and it was/is killing me, SO i'm now studying to be a make-up and special effects artist for film, tv and fashion.

SO DAMN GOOD to be creative again :D

Haha cool thread!

I wanted to be a Fireman (even though I'm female, I used to run around saying "I wanna be a firemannnnn" hahaha) or an Architect, that's what my Grandfather was..

I've ended up being a tattoo artist and uni student! Those are probably the two things I've loved doing and would continue doing for all eternity :D

I wanted to be Bruce Springsteen :D

I really want to cover myself in tattoos, but I can never decide on a design. I have a few ideas though. I'd love to be able to draw :)

This is my problem too. I have about five different plans for a half sleep and I just can't decide :(

Edit: Half sleeve, rather. Evidently I was tired when I typed that :p

Aww haha yeah tattoos are awesome :D I'm covered in them and have a million ideas for more but not enough skin I'm starting to realise hahahaha..

I've found that thinking about the idea too much can stop me from doing it, some of my best and most memorable tattoos are the ones I've just woken up with an idea, walked into the studio and said to my tattooist 'I want ____' Haha..

Since i was seven i had a desire to be an artist (as well as archaeologist, fireman, zookeeper etc) and still have that desire.

I still remain creative in my daily life or else i would go insane working in an insurance environment.

tried to enter "defence"
medical rejection.

don't recommend the military.
do recommend organic things, esp. working away from people, offices.
but depends extremely on who you are.

you have to figure out who are before career pick,
trouble is: your job may limit who you think you are, and your ability to even realise who you are.

so, find some serious time to think.
not a few weeks, perhaps a year or two.

helped me, but not a model example

I was the typical 'nerd' who spent all her time in the library, on scholarships etc. I think my last great ambition Forensic/criminal Psychologist or Cardiologist. This was all before my life did a bit of a backflip due to numerous reasons and I dropped out of school..

Four years later I am now back at TAFE finishing VCE (even the idea of this would have been laughable this time last year), which has sparked a lot of forgotten passions and interests. While I am not entirely sure of what I would like to 'be', I am really enjoying learning, and am certain that I'd like to go to uni.. I am thinking teaching at this stage.

I wouldn't change who I am now for the world and I don't miss being that overly ambitous person as my life revolved around school to the point of extreme stress. Changing the course of my life slightly has shown me that I'm not that person, and has led to opening of doors in other aspects of my life with travel, work, friendships etc.

I wanted to be a pilot as well, studied aviation in high school, am currently saving up for flying lessons etc while working at the casino. Dunno how the pilot thing will pan out though as I've kinda lost my passion for it.

If it means anything one of the uni's in Perth I think covers the cost of flying lessons and all that as HECS, so you could study it and learn how to fly, and play it off when you have the job. I may be wrong as I'm going off what my friend told me.

I had many phases as a child, wanted to be an astronaut, football player, farmer, dietitian and vet...the list goes on.
None of the above really come close to my current goal of Engineer lol

I know there's an aviation course at UWA (or ECU :\), but from what we'd been told by the uni and our school is that it's essentially the same course I'd just spent five years learning, and the thought of repeating it for a further four years just bored the shit out of me :p

I wanted to be a paelontologist!

Currently studying primary education, but thinking of making a switch and studying vet nursing externally.

Miss you bub x.

When I was in primary school, I wanted to be a doctor, a pediatrician to be exact. I still renmember in year 5 my teacher being so impressed that I could spell 'pediatrician', haha, and now I haver to stick it in google because my spelling's gone to shit. Drugs have made me dumb as fuck :D

Seriously thinking about applying for the Army again..It's the only thing that I'm interested in and no matter how many career agencies i go to, the result is always the Defence Forces.

Yea i don't know again man, I was thinking about stuff again today and when i got back to mums place, there was another letter from the ADF.

I'm interested in everything military, always have been. Mines is still defiantly an option, i just have to decide if i want to do something ill enjoy or dedicate my life to just earning money.
