candyflipping-need awesome music

alrighhtt so i finally got everything together for the candyflip tomorrow, 3 tabs and 1 pill. they are realllyy good tabs and realllyyy good pills. so this will be fun. i have a lot of good music that i will probably listen to, but i dont really know what genre of electronic music i will be into until im in the trip. haha, but i listen to electronic music. my favorites being: liquid DnB, psychedelic, dubstep, traditional DnB, and some trance. i am not much of a hardstyle fan. anyways, i want to listen to a few songs that i have never heard before when im tripping. so give me some realllyyy trippy, awesome shit to surprise me ;)

Both albums by Younger Brother would be good, Shpongle if you've never heard of them, Carbon based lifeforms you might like, also This.

Check out Hallucinogen if you haven't already, same with Prometheus.

These are all good, psychedelic artists.

I always try to put a fair bit of Spor into my trip play lists. Noisia, maybe State of Mind...just my two cents on some good dnb.

I second Carbon Based Lifeforms. Near-perfect trip soundtrack. I'm hesitant to recommend Shpongle, personally, since the first few listens can be jarring with them.

My real recommendation, though, Diskjokke, specifically the album Staying In. Oh yes.

Good call on Carbon Based Lifeforms - though I was the only one who remembers them. Also recommend Funki Porcini which is often along similar lines :)

Gonna merge this with the Music & Psyches thread cos there's loads of great recommendations in there. Have a great flip =D

sublime & raggae. You will never enjoy any music in your life as much as you do when your tripping

Fuck yeah Sublime, Pool Shark while tripping is so emotional. Also DJs will send you on your feet bobbing. Sublime <3

For more electronic stuff I'd go for Bassnectar or some classic Daft Punk

god damn, i cant believe a majority of these responses. lsd is a gift from the gods, so appropriately, you should be listening to music that came from the gods......... bob marely, the grateful dead, pink floyd and so forth. music is the one true thing that alter or rearrange your perceptions on everything when sober, so when selecting music to listen to while on a magic carpet ride, hang on because they guitar will melt your soul and fly you to heaven :) trip on

i agree with this i like techno but i aint in to it when im on a psychedelic it sounds to synthetic. classic and psychedelic rock has such an organic beautiful sound that compliments psychedelic drugs nicely. techno is more for doing e or drinking when im doin that i like shit with a fast hard energetic beat

I'm sorry, I believe you have all techno confused with bad techno. Don't get me wrong, I love the more traditional of what is considered "psychedelic" music, but good techno implies enough thought put into the arrangements and tones that it's more of a different than worse or better thing.

Also, when I think of Carbon Based Lifeforms, as mentioned earlier, I think "organic beautiful sound". It's almost better that it came from a computer, because it seems so inorganic, and yet apparently, when some humans get on them, something quite organic feeling comes about. Tone and atmosphere, my friend.

Nah techno is too focused on the beat for my psychedelic experience.
Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Beatles, Massive Attack, Muse, ... You got harmony, emotions, depth, ...
