How would one test for the MGs of MDMA present in a pill?

How could someone test for the amount of an adulterant/bonding agent in a pill?

Could you hypothetically have a pure MDMA pill, but cut with an adhesive agent so that there is only MDMA as an active ingredient, but remains in pill form?

You can't unless you have access to proper lab equipment such as gas chromatography.

Of course, you can submit a pill to www.ecstasydata.org, pay a fee of $40 and the results will be posted online.

But as for "do it yourself at home" it just wouldn't be possible.

Practically impossible with a field testing kit. GC/MS is the most common way to determine the amounts in a lab setting, but unfortunately the DEA prohibits publishing exact amounts of chemicals in illegal drug samples.

Absolutely, in fact MDMA won't stay in pill form unless there's some kind of bonding agent. The active cuts are just there to make less MDMA feel like more; there are cheaper things (e.g. cornstarch) with which to bind pills.
