The Deep thread

Man that's an absolutely phenomenal electro track!!!!!!!! (I just found out it's by one half of Drexciya, so I guess it's not surprising it's amazing!!!)

I adore this amalgam of the old world and the new, the east and the west:

Djuma Soundsystem - Les Djinns (Trentemoller Remix)

Gorgeous track - sounds like progressive house meets eastern music. Hard to beleive Trentemoller has this much talent as a producer, yet he sucks so badly as a DJ :(

I'm really loving Funk D'Void right now. His music just speaks to my soul.

This thread was made for Funk D'Void!!! - he's one of my alltime favourite producers, and 90% of his tracks are deep as fuck :)

Here's some more of his classics:

Funk D'Void - Diabla (Funk D'Void's 'Heavenly' mix)

Funk D'Void - To Ya Waistline

Francois Dubois (aka Funk D'Void) - Blood

Francois Dubois (aka Funk D'Void) - I Try

Thanks for sharing everyone.

Welcome to the thread, Noodle!

He has an interesting personal programming style. I like that chill, laid back, slow bubbling build of synthy warmth.

I think you might like this, if that kind of composition appeals to you:

I fucking love Circulation!!!! I actually saw Paul Davis DJ at Fabric about 7 years ago and he was fantastic! - really deep tech-house with huge rolling sub-basslines - probably my favourite music to dance to in a club =D

Here's some more Circulation:

Circulation - Red

Circulation - Turquoise

Circulation - Aqua

I was lucky enough to be buying records when these were released. have quite a few of them plus some bonus ones by Sir-Q-lation - mainline (Still Paul & Matt)

Omar S psychotic photosynthesis will be a classic in years to come.

beautiful music

I tend to agree, even after only being introduced to his work here.

His tracks sound pure in their intent and execution.

They aren't a reflection of any particular current trend in sound or structure, but more a fine rendering of what I believe pulsates at the core of post-disco digital dance music.

They are a distillation of the key elements of groove.

Deep house most certainly does belong on the dancefloor!!! (I like my club nights to start off with deep house, and then gradually build into slammin tech-house :) )

Circulation were simply amazing! Infact, I am very close to changing my top 5 electronic producers to include them.

You've also gotta love their faceless, DIY-approach to making music - they wrote, produced, and engineered all their own tracks, in their own studio, and released most of them on their own record label (Circulation Recordings). Oh, and most of their track titles are simply colours - Red, Purple, Green etc etc (and the label colour on each vinyl release matched the track title, which was a neat touch :) ). They also seemingly never did interviews (at least, I can't find any on the internet), and there's absolutely no information available about what they're up to at the moment (unfortunately).

I might compile a list of my favourite Circulation tracks and post it in this thread soon :)

...been perusing their output on Youtube.

...definitely a consistently brilliant series of releases.
