I only know of meth being crystal methamphetamine.I agree that to call Methadone "Meth" is foolish as we all know they are very different drugs.

Because people (in the UK) have been calling methadone "meth" for so many years you wouldn't get them to call it anything else.

Methamphetamine is rare here, and gets called "crystal meth" to differentiate it from methadone.

Meth and Meph sound the same in English, but they are profoundly different in effect and in smell !!

Thankfully I have never used Methadone.

Although I should Imagine It would take the come down off Meth.
