Wellbutrin question

drugs are the same chemical structure, and has SWIM ever tryed this for a friday night double shift. thanks much

Do not use Wellbutrin as a stimulant!
This is very absurd to say the least, you will be very prone to a panic attack if it is not prescribed to you regularly, and your body is not used to it trying to go for a stimulating dose.

You also have a retarded chance of seizures in extremely high doses.

Definitely do not abuse Wellbutrin, I was prescribed it and had to abort it after a few weeks because of the anxiety and panic and just pure hell. I can't imagine this crap having any sort of recreational use. Adderall or something amphetamine/speedish sounds like what you want, bupropion is not it.

It's good at treating short term depression and the chemical is also marketed under another name to help people stop smoking but there is no recreational reason to take it. Also if you even thought that you might (you won't) it takes awhile to build up in your system. Days to weeks!

why the fuck would you use this as a stimulant? like are you serious. i never understood why kids abused fuckin anti meds. first off if you feel any "stimulating" effect from this drug, you are better off just drinking coffee. secondly if you need a stimulant, get a fucking stimulant.

I cant believe someone actually feels stimulated by wellbutrin. i'm prescribed it, and generally i feel the same in the energy department. wow, just wow.

Ah jesus thats bad. But people also take large doses of seroquel, amitriptyline and doxepin in order to sleep through the day when serving time so this is really only something you would do if really desperate.

Wellbutrin is a stimulating anti-depressant but it's not recreational at all nor will it cause a instant feeling of stimulation that will keep you awake. Unless you count being up all night from panic attacks and stomach cramps as being alert

I take it as a anti-depressant and it works for that but it takes a good week atleast before i start feeling the effects of it.

Well, for someone like myself I almost enjoy welbutrin more than traditional stimulants. After a few days, the effect is quite noticeable with bouts of mania occasionally manifesting themselves; however, these felt much more like an exercise in living life to its fullest rather than being high or spun.

When I stop taking the bupropion I can feel a definite reduction of satisfaction, or at least under certain circumstances. Because of the long half life of the drug and its metabolites, I often do feel a "day after effect".

Overall, this drug is very helpful for depression but it's just not what those looking for a fast-acting stimulant crave: instant satisfaction.

I'm on Wellbutrin and I've never had any stimulant effects from it. I don't see any point in taking it recreationally... I doubt it would do anything. And be careful, cos high doses of Wellbutrin really do lower your seizure threshold. Collapsing to the ground and convulsing hard generally isn't a good look.

Wellbutrin can cause a manic episode in bipolar people. I was on it and had to stop taking it because it caused mania. So it was stimulating, but not in a good way (well anything feels good when you are manic, but you know what I mean).

LOL. when i was in prison for 4 years, there were many people who were snorting they're wellbutrin, claiming they were getting high off of it, i was too smart to feed into that shit, all placebo..the most "recreational" Rx drugs in prison that has demand are : Neurontin, Tramadol, Flexeril, Fiorocet-and the controlleds inmates are on for pain (i know this is a joke, but neurontin i feel is recreational to a degree, and fiorcet) people are just bored, whether in prison or in society , and do stupid shit, and thinking there getting high when your not.

how can this not be used as stimulant? it is a stimulant, and writing "antidepressant" all over it in big letters doesn't change that. in no meaningful way this can be called AD, this is just absurd.

who came up with such a crazy idea? and, even more important: how could this ever get approved?

I take it as a anti-depressant and it works for that but it takes a good week atleast before i start feeling the effects of it.

I have tried taking it as antidepressant, just as it was prescribed to me. one hour after I felt the stimulation. from day 2, I started to develop amphetamine psychosis. very fastly increasing. I gave it several more days waiting for some steady state effect, which of course never happened, so I soon pulled the emergency break.

in short, I feel like in the emperor's new clothes: I just cannot imagine how anybody could miss the obvious: this is just a shitty cathinone in a fancy "AD" box.

I can verify that 2100MG is definitely more than enough to make anyone consuming it experinces vivid hallucinations, but then again, it is always the person itself that is a great factor. There was no seizure to report.

Um, using wellbutrin for a "double shift" or to be more energetic/productive or whatever you wanna call it, isn't really effective and i wouldn't do it unless you do a relatively small dose but i doubt it will help much if or at all.
