so dont shoot this down right away. be open minded youre potheads remember.

i know how half assed this is. but thats the only way i'd go about anything. so i have 2 seeds of super duper dank weed, i mean just incredible. im saying this not as dicksizing but, imo, if anything grows out of them at all its gotta be halfway good no matter what. so i have a big expanse of woods outside of my house. i live in minnesota, despite the stereotypes, we have quite humid summers, full of rain and sun and 70-80+ degrees the majority of the days. if i cleared out a small space and broke up the dirt and added a lil fertilizer or compost, and checked on it a few times a week, would it possibly survive? and i have no experience, would probably read up over a few days on growiing and stuff. just wondering if there is a small chance this could go well.

doesnt matter if its the best bud or whatever, if its not grown properly and handled incorrectly it will be shit.
get rid of that misconception before expecting anything when doing things "half assed" as you said.

germinate the seeds and start them in pots first.

you cannot use ANY old fertilizer, needs to be a certain NPK rating.
and you shouldnt really introduce a seedling to soil full of nutes and ferts.
(start them in pots first)

but yeah, good luck.
read as much as possible as its not as difficult as people think but its not as easy as people think either.

Sure it doesn't take much to get ditch weed going . No matter what sort of seed that you germinate (and do that inside in peat pots) you will get plants to mature outdoors .

Soil, temps, light, etc will all affect the potency . Watch for the male plants and pull them pronto .

you might be in swag for weeks on end .

Growing plants isn't rocket science people have been doing it for thousands of years. You need good soil, water, and light (doesn't even need to be sunlight!). You don't even need any fertilizer or pesticides or any chemicals (although it wouldn't hurt).

Your biggest obstacle will be people fucking with the plant. Don't tell anyone about it until after its done.

^^ Exactly, if your gonna take the time out to grow, do it properly.

Hit up the forums at Rollitup, or ICmag, there's plenty of info around.

if your really interested in the subject read up on growing cannabis on websites, and there are alot of good videos on youtube. its not that difficult to grow but you'll need alot of knowledge on the subject because when growing outdoors there are alot of things that go wrong like mold, bugs, improper sunlight etc... the best way to learn is from experience so go ahead and try it, youll only get better everytime. also a bonus! theres nothing like smoking some good weed that you've grown yourself! its really a great feeling.

im not really interested. i figured if i had the seed toss it in the ground and if it works it works. i have nothing to lose by half ass trying. success will feel even better if it works out this way

You have nothing to lose by half assing it sure, but you have nothing to gain either...

Your gonna get real far in life if you half ass everything kid.

Why half ass it and get a little bud that isnt as good when u could try and get alot more bud that is also stronger? Sure ur a lazy pothead we get it lol lots of ppl are but its just common sense to want as much as possible and have it be stronger when it wont take much extra work at all

Don't half ass it. I put my all into my first grow but didnt have enough $ to do what I wanted. I ended up with 3.5 ounces of midgrade bud. My second time around I was able to upgrade equipment and ended up with just over 4 ounces of what I consider B+ quality nuggs. Read, read, read as much as you can about growing. Do not tell a soul about your project. Its best to only start small when its your first time so pay as close attention to your babies as possible. Make sure you know how to identify a male because you will most likely have 1 female 1 male. Use a good soil mixture (I like using a 3:1 ratio of Fox Farms Ocean Forest to perlite....) I only use nutes after 6 weeks...

I say go for it, but there's a good chance it will be eaten by some animal when in the early stages.

What I would do is avoid areas near pine trees (soil too acidic) and amend the soil with some pearlite and composted manure. Better chance of growing if you germinated them indoors and got them growing at least a few weeks rather than just sticking seeds in the dirt... but if that's your only option, go for it. Keep them watered at least.

I don't think he meant to lecture... but he has a point. And it looks like you're starting to see it :)
It's just not worth half-assing a grow, especially if you're doing it clandestinely and illegally. You'll waste your time and money on a small amount of bud you won't be able to sell and won't want to smoke. You can do it outdoors, and relatively cheaply, but there are just certain essentials, and indoors the cost and amount of essentials grow exponentially.

If you already have half your ass into it, whats the other half?

Twice the ass could yield 5-10 times times the bud. Full ass sounds worth it to me.

I've smoked some pretty good home grow that was grown in the same fashion as Red Rum is suggesting. Anybody who thinks you need to be a fucking expert to grow decent pot has probably never grown pot. When people grow tomatoes do they read a bunch of books on growing tomatoes? And tomatoes are harder to grow than cannabis.

He doesn't want to become a fucking farmer. Give him a break if he doesn't want to read 10 books which are probably all over his head. Reading is not that interesting especially when your young.

Didn't realise cannabis went hand in hand with being a lazy no good piece of shit. Oh wait it doesn't, just makes lazy people lazier.

that was a very hateful reply for a young learning pothead trying to do things his own way. have an open mind you cantankerous dork
