I know I've been away for a while but I've been following you all for well over a year.

A recent "vendor" has just put this into their range? And the formula they give for it looks as though it was invented by the people that made up formula for the NRG-2/3 (cant remember which it was etherway:X). But either way, I just want this NRG and B£ns0 F|_|Ry nonsense to stop so we can get back to easy to recognise, aptly named, with proper nomenclature chemicals before we cause the foolish drug users and the media to go so out of control that Shulgin and Hawking get together and divide by zero and end the universe (sorry, I waffle allot 8))

Actually, this maybe better off in EADD. Any Mods agree that could move it? Cheers!

I have seen this advertised as well.

If someone would be so kind and decipher this;

Systematic (IUPAC) name: 2-(3-(4-Methoxybenzyl)-4-bromophenyl)-6-hydroxymethyltetrahydro-2H-pyran-3,4,5-triol

Nonsense or Real?

The name itself isn't nonsense but I highly doubt it's what NRG-4 is. The name is very similar to a diabetes medication Dapagliflozin.

NRG-4 supposed IUPAC name
2-(3-(4-Methoxybenzyl)-4-bromophenyl)-6-hydroxymethyltetrahydro-2H-pyran-3,4,5-triol

Dapagliflozin IUPAC name
2-(3-(4-Ethoxybenzyl)-4-chlorophenyl)-6-hydroxymethyl-tetrahydro-2H-pyran-3,4,5-triol

Wow you'd think they'd at least come up with new names for them. can't imagine people sitting around waiting impatiently for another NRG-whateverthe fuck.

^ You are mistaken. Nobody knows what it is but it's weak as hell and if I were to compare it to anything I'd say it feels slightly like MDAI only nowhere near as nice. None of the NRGs are remotely like mephedrone. None of the current legals are. This is a good thing, in my opinion.

Why do vendors keep the molecular name of the NRG chemicals secret?

Eric, is the answer to that (a chinese guy that owns a lab in china)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8AhqPOFQO0
(a sky news report, Eric is in it)

After mephedrone was made illegal, Eric made Eric-1, dealers branded it as E1 or Energy-1 which then led to NRG-1. Eric released the information about his Eric-1 and other labs started synthing it and selling it for cheaper.

Also Eric-1 / NRG-1 / Naphyrone is really bad stuff, so Eric started work on a new chemical.

When the vendors got Eric-2, they did the same as before and branded it as NRG-2. Eric kept the chemical structure secret this time to stop other labs from making their own and taking his business.

Eric is constantly working on new chemicals and each time *should* be an improvement. (NRG-2 is an improvement on NRG-1, less dangerous, but still a fairly similar high).

I hope i cleared this situation up for people most of u probably learnt something :)

I received a sample of naphyrone today from a trusted source. Wasn't sold as NRG-1 and doesn't appear to be the same stuff as NRG-1. It's far cleaner, smoother and with much less of the unpleasant side effects. This is the problem with the branded crap - you have absolutely no idea what it actually is. Samples of NRG-1 from certain vendors were recently labtested and found to contain no naphyrone whatsoever. Was a mix of MDPV and an unknown cathinone. Other samples do contain some naphyrone but cut with other unknowns. Others contain something else entirely and no naphyrone but nobody knows what that "something else entirely" is. Lesson being - don't buy branded shit.

NRG-2 is not even remotely like any version of NRG-1 I've had.

But yes, "Eric" is a scumbag :|

All the NRG-1 i had all from the same vendor was just like MDPV but weaker so im guessing i had that. 8)

Do you have more details on the naphyrone sample you got?

^ Still researching ;)

It's also a white powder with a bit of a spermy smell and a bitter - almost perfumed - taste. Burns a bit if snorted, stings a bit if injected and runs clean and easy on foil if smoked (unlike NRG-1 which definitely doesn't). Similar to some of the better versions of NRG-1 but smoother and cleaner feeling. Vasoconstriction is far less apparent and feels less dodgy in general.

Speaking of lab tests, whats the hold up with getting NRG-2 tested?

Maybe cos it's just not very popular and isn't causing any obvious problems? Dunno but would be my suspicion. The media panic about "deadly NRG-1" (mostly complete bullshit and whipped up by a rival vendor from what I could see) and cases of users taking it as if it were mephedrone and being hospitalised probably made testing it more of an urgent matter. NRG-2 does virtually nothing of anything so not really a priority, I suppose.

On topic, I still haven't heard of anyone who's tried NRG-4 but the few reports of NRG-3 suggest it's somewhat like NRG-2 only weaker still. If such a thing is possible.
