Instead of injecting drugs... could you just?

I heard that for some drugs, you can put them under your tongue and they'll absorb nearly just as well as injection..

So I wondered if you could just do that with drugs that you might normally inject, just let them sit in your mouth for a long time? Would that work?
 
That's called sublingual (under the tounge) administration. Sublingual is no where near as bioavailable as intravenous injection but it is higher than oral for some drugs.
 
Suboxone and some benzos are the only drugs good for the sublingual ROA that I can think of right now. And by no way does it compare to IV.
 
My feeling is that IVing is a addictive act too, the rite of preparing, filtering and the moment of piercing.....the red coming into the needle..........., anyway also non drug medicines are administered under the tongue, there is some for heart strokes or failures, works wonder with benzos expecially because the faster onset against ingesting it.

ooh I forgot about plugging...

Would you be able to just stick coke in your mouth and let it disolve? Or ketamine? Or heroin?
 
I know heroin & coke have terrible oral BA%, so those would be best smoked/snorted/IV. Ketamine is best IM.

No you didn't ;)

But OP seemed unaware of the technique and it is by far the most effective for many drugs - as well as being thought to be safer for some drugs - so it bears repeating. A lot. Plugging evangelism ftw =D

wouldnt it taste like absolute balls though? id rather iv than have some awful tasting chemical sit under my tongue for twenty minutes

uh.. no I would not want to inject. Not only cuz injecting too much is bad for your veins, but also I'd have to get a needle and stuff. Plus I'd fear of messing up.

Is there any drug you can't plug? Is there dangers to plugging?

And is it easy to do?? Like do you just shove it up your ass or what? lol
 
The Big and Dandy Guide to Rectal Administration (Plugging)

Works best with water soluble drugs (which would be the majority of them - you need to make the solution up with milk or oil otherwise instead of (warmed for comfort) water) and dose needs to be halved or thereabouts too for most drugs to avoid ODing or just taking waaaaay too much if it's a stim/psyche. Only equipment required is a 1ml or 2ml (or sometimes rarely 5ml) oral syringe to do the deed with. I know of no dangers beyond people thinking you're a freak if you plug. But they are silly people I choose to ignore cos I get twice as many doses from my stash and a better hit off them too =D

Name your fucking thread with an appropriate title? Like "injecting vs under the tongue."

That's what you're asking, right? Maybe with a descriptive title more people would see a thread they were interested in and contribute.

Not to mention the person who might be looking for a similar discussion one day but won't be able to find it in a search because your thread title doesn't describe what the actual conversation is about.

Sorry, I hate to sound like forum Nazi, but seriously, shit like this just makes a mess of things and does NOT help people in the long run.

I know you think writing a "mysterious" title might trick people into clicking on your thread, but it will also make your balls itch.

Sorry I don't think my titles all the way through... I just thought of it and then wrote it out.
I guess next time I'll think more about what I name my titles.
