I tried 'DMT' for the first time the other night, and while I enjoyed the buzz I am not sure it was the real deal. My friend had had it before but I think from the same source. It was a course yellow crystal powder, which apparently could be either chemical. Although I've never tried PCP or DMT my gut instinct and experience with related chemicals tells me it was a dissociative.
I was wondering, is there some kind of test kit I could use to tell at least which family it was in? (PCP analogues or tryptamines). I found some kit which seems to be a cobalt-thiocyanate reagent mentioned in this ask erowid article. However, the erowid article notes that this reagent is active in the same way for many other chemicals so I am afraid it might be useless for the distinction I want to make. Any advice is much appreciated
