Got a good spot this year beside a creek and field that has been used to plant corn and soybeans for like 50 years its great soil. the gardens have always yielded great strawberrys grapes hell anything lol.

but yea back the question im not gonna be able to water everyday. most like 3-4 times a week.

do you think because of the location and being that there is a creek near by will save the plants?

also they are gonna be spread well apart. to prevent any germ. use the males for hash.

this is only my second time at this so im still a noobie thanks.

males cant make thc so u cant use them to make hashish.

learn more bro.

icmag, tokecity, rollitup, and grasscity are good grow sites that should
inform you of the ins and outs of growing the wonderful plant Cannabis.

and save the plants from what?
it really doesnt make a difference if there is a creek nearby but it would
make watering easier as you could just run irrigation hoses from the creek to
your spot.
or use buckets.

Males do produce THC but not nearly as abundantly as females... sad, but true. Aim to brew a slightly alkaline soil to improve the averages using dolomite, ground lime or wood ash for a start. As sega says, get yourself well-read and learn the ropes.
Honestly, the rest is pie-in-the-sky stuff because there are so many variables to account for.
Don't know where you are but in my experience, unless you're on private property without public access, some of the first places rip-offs look when the growing season gets underway are creeks, rivers, dams and other water sources. Newbs are usually too lazy to lug water any great distance or don't know any better. No offence intended, but you'll only need some bastard to rip you off once before wising up. They'll kick back and let you do all the work, then BAM! Fuckers don't leave 10% behind anymore either, like they used to way back when.
You should also consider the herbiforous beasties that may come to sup at the creek and will happily dine on your plants while they're there.
If you're growing in the soil, forget about watering 3-4 times a week. Water deeply, less frequently. Mollycoddle your 'weed' and it will come to expect regular pampering. Besides, once the tap roots get down they will find sufficient water if you do grow where you've planned. A good thick mulch will hlp stop your shallow feeder roots drying out.
There's a start.

not true some strains males make more THC than females.

i do not believe this one bit, although i do know that males produce extremely low
levels.
but yeah the above statement sounds very suspect to me.
the females produce the flowers which produce the sex juice (thc) en masse.

Making compost for your female plants from males you've pulled is like flavouring a stew with your brother's ashes, but that's only me. At least you'd eat, I guess. :/
Have to agree with sega in that I've never heard of males producing more THC than females from the same generation of a common strain. Doesn't happen, unless you can show otherwise. But, always happy to learn something new. :)
Maybe a dip into erowid or one of Robert Connell-Clarke's excellent cannabis botany texts will clear up some more general misconceptions for once and all.

you can harvest the top of the males theres thc there trust me.

ya its on private land i never thought of just running an irrigation line to it its only about 100 ft from the spot thanks guys.

Why would you sacrifice quality for a relatively minimal amount (tops) when you can do a little work, kill the boys, and get sensi? The only logical explanation would be if one was schwagging out a huge patch, which I doubt is your case...

I echo everyone else, read more. Experience is often the best teacher, but w/o knowledge you're going to cause yourself more aggravation than it may be worth. Having a concrete plan beforehand seems much safer.

thats not what i meant by sex juice.
i mean the resin is pushed out by the ladies as if they are saying, come on, im sexy!
:P

and with the males in compost i mean they would decompose and give nutrients to the soil.
either that or use them in a salad.

i know that males produce thc, but there is no way they would produce MORE
thc than a female of the same gen. of that strain.
they may produce thc but it is such a benign level that its mostly not even worth smoking.

anyways OP good luck with the grow

^ :/ hate to be pernickety, but female resin production has nothing to do with sexiness or 'advertising' availability for mating like some sort of pheremone. Resin molecules are thought to defract or diffuse harmful UV light from delicate structures in pistillate floral parts, like the facets of a crystal. It's also thought to dissuade munching animals and insects by causing them to get sick or dissorientated.

yes, i know, thats not what i mean by sexy!

i mean that thc resin is sexy to us humans, and its as if the fems are like "come on, smoke me, you know you wanna ;) "

Correct, from what I understand THC is an insect repellent... like nicotine.

So why am I always getting bit to hell by mosquitoes on late-night outdoor summer sessions???

I've noticed flies tend to pop up like crazy when some herb is sparked too... Weed's not that effective of an insect repellent, IMO.
