60mg Morphine Sulfate XR

Im about to receive a Kadian 60mg morphine sulfate extended release capsule. I was wondering if there was any way to inject this pill. Can I remove all the beads from it, crush them up and then make the solution that way, or is this just way too dangerous for my veins? I use H about 2-3 times a week, usually .15-.3g a day. In one or two injections. My tolerance is decently high, and it takes me 40mg of oxycodone just to feel anything. Takes me much more to get fucked up and I haven't nodded off from a pill since I snorted a dilaudid several years ago. Dope is the only thing that has made me nod out since.

Therefore I know taking this pill orally will barely do shit to me, as it is time released and only 60mg. If I cant inject it, I can crush the beads up and snort it, correct? I know nothing about morphine and only had a 20mg capsule once in my life, took it orally and it did nothing for me. It was years ago before I had a tolerance and I believe it was XR also. Thanks for any help in advance.

I really wouldn't try this if i were you. pills + veins are bad enough, but XR pills + veins = catastrophe.
I'm not sure how they put the protection in these morphine pills, but if it's like Adderall XR i don't think you want to be injecting yourself with dope mixed with plastic bits.

Maybe if you finely crush the pills in a pestle and mortar then put the powder in water, let the dope mix in the water, and hope that the plastic covering of the beads don't dissolve into the water as well, all you'd have to do is separate the water, from the plastic that'll be floating on top/sunk at the bottom...
Though I have NO IDEA if that will work, just throwing an idea out there. Really you shouldn't IV XR pills at all.

Why is the BA from snorting so low? I would think it would be absorbed the same (although slower) as plugging, and metabolized the same way. Of course some will make it into the throat and be swallowed, but that seems like it would put the BA somewhere between oral and plugged. What am I missing?

I know it was a horrible idea, but I didnt think doin it once would hurt my veins too badly as long as I did it properly. I ended up crushing the beads up in a coffee cup very fine then pouring it into a bowl, where I took out as much of the wax shells as possible. I think poured the rest in a spoon with 50 units of water and filtered it three times with a qtip cotton. The remaining shells didnt dissolve in the water. It barely did anything, however, except give me a quick 2 minute rush that didnt even compare to H.

60mg of morphine = 30mg of H = .03mg of H.

You said you're used to doing .3, so you only did 1/10th of what you're used to.

their not as bad for the veins as people think, anything you inject is hard on the veins especially morphine. Be sure to use cold or room temp water to mix the powder, using heat in any way is not the way to do it!! Also be sure to filter the powder very well before injecting, use a wheel filter. <SNIP> just because the liquid is clear doesn't mean the morphine is gone. If you have a high tolerance a 60mg kadian capsule should give you that pins and needles feeling no problem. I've been using 2 60mg caps per day via a script for 2 years with no bad effects. never done H before but I've been told its the same feeling so enjoy.

The kadians are morphine SR capsules which release over 12 hours not morphine XR which releases over 24 hours. I have shot these pills before (the 50's and 100's used to be pretty popular) and they don't come in 60's. They come in 20mg, 50mg and 100mg capsules. The much better M-esslons are also morphine SR capsules and do come in 60's so perhaps that is what you are getting? All you have to do to beat the time release of these pills is to crush the beads to bits. If you insist of shooting them you need a micron filter cause these pills can be nasty on the veins and kadians have waxy beads so they are really bad for IV use. M-Esslons are not so bad but you still need a micron filter that's for sure.

snorting works better for me than oral. i get time release capsules that are full of beads of morphine + some type of wax i think. i disolve them in warm water and heat with a lighter, stir, let it cool down untill i see the wax floating over the solution, filter the solution, evaporate and snort. a friend of mine used to inject the solution but i don't know exactly how risky that could be.
