Cow Palace rave 1 death 11 hospitalized

this weekend the communtiy took a nasty hit, i stay here in the northern bay area and i love my E but now am just terrified to know that there are these kinda pills in my area and the worst part is that i cant find out what kind of pills had these people hospitalized, does anyone know about what kinda pill it was that did this to these ravers... please please help me find out...
 
Someone is going to jail for that one....

Those 11 people that were hospitalized know who they bought from and i would bet that they are all from the same person....

If only it were that simple.

Truth is there are a lot of variables that probably contributed to the damages. At most of the raves I have been to, it always seems like there are gangs working together to sell pills. Its always either the asians or the mexicans.

Those guys may have sold off a random bad batch at etd and no one would ever know who they bought it from.

Random people sell random things. :\
 
I was there this weekend and saw a girl lying on the ground surrounded by security and paramedics. They kept telling people to just keep walking which most people obliged. There were plenty of law enforcement afterward but there was an unusual amount of emergency vehicles as we left.
Later on that evening I saw a man get tackled by two other men. At first I thought it was a fight but then both men had the guy in handcuffs and pulled out their badges to show the people around them.

Definitely stuff that doesn't belong at a rave.

This is really sad and unfortunately yet another reminder to people to please buy and use a test kit.

We keep pushing the message here and many I fear think its not necessary. Hopefully this can help ram home the message.
 
It's also possible that a lot of these hospitalizations didn't necesairly have to do with bad pills but instead how hot it was at the Cow Palace during the whole event. It was probably 90 to 100 degrees in there the whole time and that heat added to an already high body temperature from ecstasy use can only lead to serious medical problems.
 
but no where in any articles i read say if it was supposedly mdma in a capsule or if it was a E tab and if it was a pill than i think it is important that we all figure out which one
 
Internal bleeding and kidney failure were two of the symptoms listed in one of the articles. Could that really be from overheating?

Could not find anything on kidney failure, however.

As the body starts to overheat, small clots form in the bloodstream, leading to a condition called Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation (DIC).

The clots cause a depletion of the blood's essential coagulation agent, which is normally used to stem internal bleeding from the hundreds of tiny cuts constantly present in body and brain tissue due to damage caused in the day-to-day running of the body. A depletion of coagulation agent can be extremely dangerous. If bleeding occurs in the brain, for example, it can lead to a stroke. It's also possible to bleed to death. What's more, this whole process can occur in just a few hours.

i never have experienced such extreme heat. the halls were filled with steam/condensation, it was disgusting.
this has never been a problem at any other event i have been to or even last years event at the same venue. on top of that, a lot of people were deterred from leaving the dance floor because they shut off entry, meaning that once you leave, unless you snuck back on, you were unable to come back. This prevented a lot of people of choosing water over being up close to the music.
could of added to heat exhaustion. just my 2 cents.

Bring water with you? Say they do let you back into the crowd, if you're in the front, you won't want to leave either. Last time I was at a show where I was all the way in the front and wouldn't leave for anything in the world, I had water with me. Drank all over the course of the show, and it was awesome.
 
Wow that's really sad. Reporting on this was really bad. Suspected drugs overdoses? WTF? It could have been anything from Hypothermia to PMA. Nobody would take PMA if they knew what it was and well Hypothermia is more too do with the bad organization at the event.

I feel like this might have some thing to do with it. I think that people have been pressing pills out of RC's for some time now and the recent inavailability of the BK's has led to a rise of other chems being mixed in. with the BK's mixing wasnt realy to much of an issue because they were so similar but with the flood of all these new substances i knew it was bound to happen sooner or later.

Infact for the past month i have been warning people about a prophecy/dream/theroy that the pills were going to get bad and that some one might die. i also had a specificaly bad feeling in my chest about pop 2010 which many of my friends tried to get me to go to but i refused because of the unknown fear i posessed.

Its sad when people get hurt at these events. At a certain event in miami that happens in the spring i saw plenty of people getting rushed off by paramedics and i also heard that people died (more than one person).

Why are these events allowed to charge $5 for water? Why arent we allowed to bring our own water? These are questions that need to be answered, these are kind of things that need to be changed!

Us ravers are the consumer, so why dont we demand changes? People will never stop taking drugs at these events. However, organizers may change their greedy actions if we DEMAND IT!!:!

Lol yea i guess, On this side of the country this type of thing isn't run by gangs....

You have a bunch of ravers/psytrance kids and then you have some thuggish looking gangsta people walking around trying to sell drugs....

I could buy some drugs from some bad ass hippie giving me blotter laid in the hundreds of micrograms or i could buy some sketchy beans or something from some thugish lookin gangsta that stands out more than any undercover in the building.

I don't like to consider myself racist, im dating a girl who is half black, so that has to say somthing. Just about everyone i have ever known that has had anything fucked up go down in a drug deal happened when they were dealing with thugish black people. One guy got his head blown off, a friend of mine was robbed at gunpoint at 3pm in his own house, friend had more molly jacked than i care to give numbers for but it was a lot, someone else was implicated in a murder investigation.

These people are only there because they have found people who will buy from them. If the collective group decided just to not buy from these people it wouldn't happen.

This kind of shit never seems to happen when your dealing with people who associate more with the hippie/raver/psytrance/burner crowds..... It happens because people allow it to happen, get people to stop buying from people who are not part of this scene at all....
 
Damn.

Last november a kid died at a rave in my city and his friends were hospitalized. I later found out that my dealer sold them to the kids.
