Hi guys, I don't know if this is the right part of the forum to post this question so feel free to move it if it isn't. I'm asking about legally obtaining over the counter drugs so hopefully this is okay to post.
I am going back to India this year with a couple friends. It's been a few years since I've last been, so I'm super excited. I plan on spending my holiday in the north- Delhi, Agra, Varansi, ect.
I tend to suffer from headaches, and back pain. Does anyone know if there are legal, over the counter pain medications or muscle relaxers you can buy in India? I'm talking pain medicine stronger than your usual asprin.
I know they have different drug laws than we do but I don't know exactly how different they are. And if you can buy over the counter medication, what kinds of brands? Indian ones? I don't get Rx painkillers here in the states because docs are so hesitant to give it out.
When I was in Istanbul a few months ago, I was having bad back pain and they gave me something at a pharmacy but it didn't seem to do much. I'm not even sure if it was for pain. I'm hoping in India to have legal access to something stronger. I also did not know turkish brands of over the counter painkillers so I really didn't know what I was doing in the first place.
If any of you have been to India or know of any websites that have information on this that would be great. I have zero interest in doing illegal drugs abroad. Midnight Express, my friend.
Thank you.
