festivals 2010

I wouldn't even be arsed about the snowboarding, the all day boozing and partying in igloos is what interests me.

It looks pretty wild, I'd love to go on the road trip from the UK to the festival, you all leave from one point and go together on a mad mission to get there and party all the way apparently. Sore one if you're the driver.

Being fucked and snowboarding can't end well, really. It'd be a load of fun, though. It's brilliant enough sober.

Yeah rockness should be the business this year, looks awesome!

Are you going to Rockness mate? Hit me up if you are! Line up is looking good and the setting is fucking amazing! I've been every year and highly recommend it!!!

Line up for y'all; http://www.rockness.co.uk/lineup/lineup-2010

I'll be there going fruuuuucking mental!

Also want to hit Amsterdam Dance Event and I Love Techno. But with ADE being so close to ILT I'll end up just going to ILT, will hit Amsterdam on the way this time tho :D

haha i tried to go to amsterdam dance event thingy a few years ago. we were sooo stoned, missed most of it, almost went out to one dj but my ex projectile vommed over a friend after too many mushrooms.. we did actually turn up at another after a long, stoned trek to the club only to find it was sold out :|

if you go i hope you do better than we did!

Amsterdam is totally wasted on stoners.

That's probably true. All I did in Amsterdam was smoke weed, eat slices of pizza, smoke weed, smoke weed & smoke weed.

We did go to the mad waxwork shit though, that was hilarious. We were going to go to Anne Franke's pad but realised when we got there that it wouldn't really be that funny, so sat at the canal outside it & smoked more weed.

Amsterdam is heaven for tokers - nae complaints here. What is the problem with that!

I have no festival plans - I'm very sad about that :(

I just mean there's loads more to do and see than the inside of a coffee shop. They are an integral part of the Amsterdamage experience no doubt but it's a wicked city and a lot of folk don't make the most of it.

might consider solfest this year now glade has been cancelled, they hardly compare but i've got a group of 20+ mates who get along each year so could be fun. it seems to be proper laid back about wreckheads etc and all

I agree but you don't need to hide away in a coffee shop, you can get wrecked and get out there and enjoy it. Nothing nicer than a canal cruise, roll about in Vondelpark or buying some cake =D My favourite is just sitting outside at a cafe and giggling at the world passing by %)

Back to my festival-deficit...what am I gonna do? Can't do Rockness (there's a yoga . meditation retreat that weekend) No Connect, past it for T in the Park :(

Recommendations please EADD!

Don't think I'd go to T in the Park anymore even though I always enjoyed it. The last time I went was just too nedtastic. There always were some but were in the minority compared to normal folk. Too expensive now too.

T in the Park = nedtastic.

You said it and I'm a lady of a certain age who just cannae be fucked with all that :|

We've just discussed the Wickerman Festival, I have friends who do the spoken words stage there, so plenty of friendly faces, will have to check the line up. The last time I was there I spend most of my time in the reggae / ska tent skinnin' up n' shaking it :D lol It had a good vibe :)

Aye I wanna go and mates are saying they might be game but my mates saying and actually doing are two different things completely. We'll see what happens. Looks cool, bit different. Don't wanna do one of the big commercial ones, something smaller and cheaper.

T in the park is kind of like the equivalent of Reading/Leeds isn't it?
I found Leeds fun when i was like 16 but it's certainly something you grow out of, far too booze orientated filled with pissed up kids at their first festy being dicks, it's fun when you are one of them just not when you're not one but are surrounded by them.

INNOVATION in the Dam, will hopefully be heading there for a mates birthday, also reading will be attended.
