Ok fess up...who's tried chroming?

Is it just me or is it that the only people that you seem to see chroming are aboriginals? Not meaning to be racist or anything but it always seems to be them and it's always in the most public of places....

They're not the only people, but they do have a reputation for it, as well as alcohol abuse etc. That's more related to the socio-economic circumstances of many Aboriginal communities, which are among the worst in Australia. I think most people would rather this didn't turn into a topic about the future of Aboriginals, though.

I didn't mean any offence to it, it's just that I have only seen two Caucasian people chroming in the past before and more then I can remember of Aboriginals chroming in the past before. But lets stop that topic right here shall we so that this thread takes a turn for the worst...

I know you meant no offence. It is a real issue, and a legitimate observation.
 
Weird that this thread pops up and then I was in West End on Saturday night and approached by a couple of Aboriginal guys chroming wanting cigarettes, they were very nice though and we had a good chat so I gave them cigarettes, they didn't mind that they were menthols. :)
 
^ The best bit about smoking menthols is that most of the time when people try to get a cigarette off me and then realize I have menthols they will refuse them. :D

I don't smoke, but use to, and I always found menthols kept your throat clearer so wouldn't mind smoking them if somebody gave them to me... I don't understand why people dislike them :\
 
I actually just found a can of butane in my room just the other day, its like 5 years old haha. Theres no way I am sniffing it myself, although I could bring it along to the next meetup if your interested. :p haha!

I thought this was a cigarette topic? If i'm hangin for a smoke, i'll smoke white ox. A menthol would be considered a treat. Port Royal myself, but to the topic, that blue goo time control thing made me smile, it sounds good, but didn't work for me (when i tried it b4). I'd rather try that on dxm. Maybe it's dmt, cause you might of had a near death experience! But seriously, blue goo sounds like the next new drug craze. "Blue Magic"

I came across two guys in the Melbourne CBD today chroming in public. They had bright fluro paint around their mouths and were jerking around all over the place. Speaking funny. Had a clear plastic bag each filled with some kind of paint and were breathing out of it every few breaths. Never seen chromers in the CBD in plain daylight before. Definitely see them in the burbs occasionally, usually they are kids though without the means to buy other drugs.

No one gave them a second glance! Seriously bad for your health, definitely don't recommend it.

a familiar tale.

I remember going through a phase of inhaling butane, deodorant and then graduating a few months later into a very long phase, of about 4 years of really getting into nitrous, and of course amyl.

it seemed white male middle class thing to do before you learnt about much better drugs i.e. pot, prescription pills, alcohol (all sourced from ones parents).

Yeah i haven't seen it at all in the CBD either. I've seen people shooting up nad smoking joints but thats about it. Chroming seems to be affiliated with taking public transport. Thats pretty much the only place I've seen people do it. Maybe its something to tide them over until they can get to their mix/dope/shard.

Is it actually illegal to inhale these substances for the purpose of getting high? like if a police officer saw them doing it, could the police officer arrest them?
 
^^^^ Pretty sure it's against the law to be intoxicated in a public place, and I think the method of intoxication is indiscriminate....

Not 100% sure though. I've never really thought to ask/check!

Are those the silver bullet looking little bobbles that the smoke shops sell in California and that will freeze your face off if you don't do them a certain way? I did something like that once, and it was a super fun, super short lasting but a great high. We had to load the stuff into a balloon and huff it through the balloon because if I was told if I used my mouth on the little bobble it would freeze my lips off.:?
 
^ Yeah that's the stuff, you used a cracker to load it into the balloon. I use a whipped cream dispenser I bought, sans the cream of course. :D
 
lol.. people are foolish. loading the gas into the larger container, which lacks the pressure will WARM the gas, and likely not cause you any harm by way of frostbite.
 
^ I guess wrong, I've heard people say it in Brisbane. I always thought people used the carbion dioxide ones for blowing stuff up and that... when I was a kid we used to use them to make rockets.
