hey mongman....i will refute that statement.....

i have just spent the last 18 months fighting a battle in the district court to stay out of jail, because i got busted with 27 grams of mushrooms.

i got charged with 27grams of psilocin. deemed supply, because of the amount. which has a standard non-parole period of 10 years.

so, be very,very,very careful my friend. all of you, take it as a warning, these mushies are considered very illegal and very dangerous. and if you are caught supplying them you will be fucked up bad. even having 2 grams of dried shrooms is enough to get charged with deemed supply.

so, be careful folks.

in 10 days time i have to go to court for the last time. sentencing day... have a root with mrs, kiss the kids, bring a toothbrush and prey day.

i am hoping for a suspended sentence, as i beat the standard non parole business luckily. but am still looking at 2 years, even 3 or 4. but my barrister is hoping i can get it suspended. at least after 6 months. hopefully from the start, so i dont do a day. but, if i get done in that time then i am well and truly rogered.

Most of these photo's are from patches I inoculated two years ago & have only just started fruiting. One such area would cover about 50-100 m^2, too many to pick. I bumped into two girls from the Shroomery who had been looking all day at that point and were about to give up. They had never been picking before, so I shared what I could about identification in the short period I had available and offered them some mushrooms from the patch. I think they were happy.

brill that you are doing it.
i have done a bit of seeding in the mountains of blue and had some succeses of varying amounts.
not as succesful as yours tho.
i am interested in your technique if you can share. p.m. me with details or links etc if you can, as i dont know if the mods will allow you to post teks. ask them i guess.

That really sucks Psynapsurfa! Hope it all turns out OK! I would just like to point out also there are atleast 2 episodes of 'The Force' where the police bust and charge people with picking/possessing psilocybin mushrooms. I believe both episodes were set in WA, because there is only one or two main places everyone goes to pick its easy work for the cops to hit the place and pick up a few shroomers.

I know there is definitely one episode as I have seen it. It would be great if we could link that segment up here somewhere.

I think it is important to change the perception of the people who are under the impression that picking Psilocybin mushrooms is not illegal.

A message that should be heeded by all, including those posting pictures of large amounts of dried shrooms. Hope sentence day goes in your favour psynapsurfa
 
I'm in the region north of brissy and I'm just wondering if it's too hot or something up here for there to be any? Also, when is the best time to go hunting? Just after rain before the sun comes out and roasts them?

Depends what you are after I suppose mate. If you are after cubes, the morning after some rain is optimal, find a secluded cow paddock and have a sticky beak. They dont really have a season.
 
Psynapsurfa: was it 27 grams dry or fresh? i truly feel for you, that's extremely rough treatment.

phase_dancer: completely agree, drying mushrooms is not a wise idea. my experience has only covered fresh mushrooms in the field & i have always been honest when discussing it with them.
 
I've never had any problems with fresh P. Subaeruginosa but be very careful with dry mushrooms. They are as illegal as any other black market substance in your posession and you will face the full effect of the law if caught with them.

Muscimol is listed as a prohibited substance under Federal law, 2 grams or more is considered a trafficable offense.

A. Muscaria is also on the controlled plant list.

I always thought they were controlled but have recently seen them at 3 different head shops which must be illegally selling them, dried and bagged. This is what made me believ they were legal as they were in full view in the main display area

After some research online, it seems that Aus and Israel are the only countries that have a blanket ban on A. Muscaria

I'm actually really surprised that these head shops were selling such an easily identifiable illegal fungi

Sorry for the mix up, I should have looked into it before making that statement

They can't be too far off, but I don't think that area has had anywhere near the amounts of rain that we've received in Vic and SE S.A

It's certainly cold enough

Mt. Gambier has day time temps in the low teens and night temps in the mid to low single digits so i'd be surprised if they weren't up in the SE of S.A. Adelaide could still be a week or 2 off though

I suggest inoculating your own garden with P. Subaeruginosa and watering it from late April if that is a possibility for you and you live in Adelaide ;)
 
Went to a couple of patches out in the SE area today. Picked some and left a lot :)

Still haven't had any luck around northern burbs.
 
First find of the season! 'Find' that is, not plural.

One is better than none I suppose.
Checking the other spots tomorrow :D
