Opiate/Suboxone Addiction

Hi, i am currently using(and trying to stop) opiates, and have been on and off(a few weeks off a few times) for two years. Within the past month or so, i have cut it down to doing oxy once or twice a week and subxone twice a week. My question is this: does the suboxone further my opiate addiction? Or would i eventually be addicted to both oxy and subs?
Dont give me info. on suboxone because i know all about it, i just want to know if i'm getting dependant on "opiods" in general, or since there two different drugs will i be fine? Thanks.

It's my understanding that they're both opioids and are both acting on similar, if not identical parts of the body.

I can't speak for psychological addiction, but on the physiological side, it's an addiction to opioids.

Yah they both work on the exact same receptors. Why are you using both drugs? If you want to quit opiates taking only the suboxone is the way to go. You will still withdrawal from the suboxone but it will be much more mild. And you can use its long half life to your advantage. I know you said you know all about suboxone but if you so I don't understand why your using both? I mean its going to make your Oxy not work at all or not as well for about 36 hours after administration of suboxone.

taking suboxone in conjunction with oxycodone is a waste of oxycodone.

I just been taking subs twice a week so that gives me 4 days without blues(i know, i dont do pills for atleast 36 hours after taking subs), and doing blues once or twice a week.(for the past month, ive been tapering it)..So that gives me one or two days "sober"(subs dont really get me high), would that be the same as doing oxy 5 times a week, addiction wise?

man suboxone is just as addictive as any other opiate, worse of all the withdrawl lasts up to 3 weeks due to the long half life....it is physically addictive, and mentally in MY CASE....i cant function without it...and it is actually a very strong opiate/opoid...2mg for a nieve user will get them very high, taking 1 sub can land u in a hospital
