IV 2c-t-2: my arm has just turned yellow

I wanted to get this out there as quick as possible in case I have to go to the hospital.

I made a post in one of the 2c-t-2 subthreads last night about my successful attempts IVing 2c-t-2 twice on Sunday night. Well, it hasn't gone so well tonight. The psychedelia is fantastic, nothing bad there. However, my physical state looks quite shady. Let me explain:
I got half my shot in a left-arm vein. Everything fine there. Then I changed the needle and switched to my right-arm, found a vein (one of those forearm veins that lead into the main vein running up your arm, very near the crook, but not.) So as soon as I started to shoot I felt pain, so I kept checking if I was still in, and yes I was registering just lovely, but injection was painful. I know, I know, your supposed to stop at any sign of pain. Having had painful IVs before I just thought fuck it, I wont waste the shot, and carried on slowly and steadily.

Finished the shot, all lovely jubbly - except I have this RAGING vein going back down my arm (towards the hand) all the way from the injectin site, which is a poor sore lump. Any attemt to extend the arm results in a good deal of distress to the forearm. No other damage downstream noted. I have in recent minutes, noticed it going from a sore red to a brownish-yellow running all the way down my arm towards my hand (right alongside a huge mucle-deep scarr that extends the length of my forearm).

I just needed to let you folks know, in case anybody was thinking of shooting this stuff up, wait. I know it's a really odd thing to happen, some sort of reaction backstream, but it looks fucking gangrenous or something, and hurts like hell.

I also think you should go incase you haven't already.
Even if it is no big deal in the end, it is best to be safe.

Yea, if there is ever a doubt in ur mind you should go. Thats why planning a safe and smooth trip is important, you dont want to be tripping and just be thinking you need to go because u r freaking out.

I hope that you've gone to the hospital. Theres clearly something wrong.

Couldn't some impurities of synthesis cause a reaction like this? I'd drive to the hospital

I'm no doctor, but that can't be healthy. As much as it sucks, you should bite the bullet and go to the hospital.

Please keep us posted.

Hard to make a visualization of that, what could it be a collapsed vein or something?

Anyway I hope they get it sorted at the hospital, sounds bad. :(

All limbs still attatched

Thankyou all for your advice, and consideration. I took your advice, and sought medical help. <3

My nurse told me she didn't know what to make of it. And after determining no toxicity from the drug itself, she said what I have here is a whole bunch of bruising, possibly caused by the drug itself finding it's way into the tissues of the arm, and the way in which it was administered.

It was a three case scenario, from her perspective: 1. A collapsed vein due to a partially missed shot on an already badly scarred vein. That seemed unlikely to me, since it only took me one try to get the vein, and it was easy, and I kept pulling back to make sure I was still in.
2. She thinks maybe more likely is that I did overshoot the vein and found an artery (or arteriole). That would totally explain the agony, and the bruising due to terrible osmolar imbalances at each subsequent capilliary bed.
3. A completely missed shot. (which I know did not happen).

She told me if it causes breathing problems etc. go to the ER. Too much trouble. A handful of diazepam and propranolol should do ther trick, maybe I would wake up feeling less painful the next day (which I did).

Fast Forward>> and I have full feeling and moblity in hands and arms. Badly discoloured forearm. I must say, I'm totally inclined to agree with Fryingsquirrel, that I hit an artery. Thanks for the link psood0nym, it explains things alot clearer, and how close together arterioles and veins can be.

BTW, I have since tried two more IV administrations of 2c-t-2, in the same arm, different vein (in order to really find an explanation, if not just to go out with a bang). A wonderful sucess, just like the very first time. Springtime beauty of nature in technicolour fantasy is a truely awesome experience to participate in.

*******
My conclusion is that after all these intravenous studies with 2c-t-2, it seems to be a safe compound to inject (as long as a reasonably sensible tonicity is reached for the solution to inject) in relation to the compound itself.

Thanks again guys and girls. Love and light to you all <3

Lol, I like that even after all that, you gave it a couple more tries. Definitely not the Harm Reduction I'm used to seeing around here :P

On an interesting note - It sounds like either your health care system is WAY more advanced, or you got a particularly awesome nurse. If I went to the hospital here, and told them I was having symptoms because I injected a drug into my arm, they'd throw me out and tell me that whatever I did to myself is my own fault and I have to deal with the consequences and stop wasting their time.

If they WERE to take a more serious look at me, they would not be thorough. They'd rush me out of there asap and probably complain throughout.

but he is in candada where they do have free healthcare....

the whole medical thing in america right now is up in the air, no one really seems to know what this new healthcare reform stuff really means...
