dokomo is correct. You really shouldn't go too much over 24mg. It can produce delirium and effects that will completely kill your opiate high. The chlorpheniramine maleate isn't too just provide the anti-histamine effects but also to prevent abuse. The most I've taken of the stuff was 4 teaspoons because I didn't want to go too much over the daily limit. I was fine but suggesting doses like 100mg is not harm reduction at all. That will cause all sort of bad reactions.
I am not suggesting anything, the chlorpheniramine is to potentate the hydrocodone, and it has
little to no anticholinergic action even in high doses.
This is along the same thing as the codeine/promethazine syrup.
Promethazine has really bad anticholinergic effects in high doses, but it is still far below the lethal dose. It is also in place to prevent abuse.
But like always there is a backfire, they cause paradoxical euphoria.
Chlorpheniramine only becomes drastically dangerous at these doses when mixed with serotonin releasing agents. (Dextromethorphan)
It is like taking a dose of anti-depressant, which only adds to the euphoria and pain-killing effects of the hydrocodone.
Occasional high dose usage is not terribly harmful.
It's way better than that damn Hycodan syrup, that's certain.
24mgs is a max therapeutic dose, not an LD50%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
