Tachycardia

I've been experiencing Tachicardia at a rate of 111 beats per minute for the past hour or so. Is this something I can ignore or should I do something about it like go to the hospital? I have no history of heart attacks, strokes or seizures if that makes a difference.

111 bps is not defined as 'tachycardia' as far as I'm aware.

Still, if you're at all concerned you should be contacting a doctor, not posting on the internet
How old are you btw? Because tachycardia means different things to different age groups?
Have you taken any drugs? I only ask because this is in BDD.

edit - actually 111 is tachycardic, my bad.

Anything above 100bpm is tachycardia. If it persists, see your doctor.

In the meantime, you could try taking a benzo or some other CNS depressant to try to reduce your heart rate.

That is actually "normal" for me. My blood pressure is normal but my pulse rate is normally on the high side. Anywhere from 90-110. My dr is not concerned about it, neither am I. My dr has never said I have "tachycardia". It's like some people naturally have low blood pressure. If it's not normal for you take sweet P's advice take a benzo and chill out, and if it does persist talk to your dr. Good luck!

I had the tachycardia when I went to sleep, and when I woke up my heart rate was fine but about half an hour later it raced back up to 111BPM. I was taking Tramadol all day, total dosage 150mg (took 75mg at 5pm, then 37.5 at 9pm and then 37.5 at 11:40pm), and my heart rate hit 111bpm at about 5am. I usually never get tachycardia but it really freaked me out in the morning because it stayed around 105 - 115 for about two hours or so, then it went down.

It's been around a steady 70-78 BPM since the tachycardia stopped, so I think I'm fine now.
Just a minor freak out.

Tramadol is why! It happened to me when I was scripted it, it really freaked me out! Atleast you pinpointed it.

You should be fine bro, I've experienced Tachycardia and palpitations for 12+ hours a few times with around a 100-115 resting BPM so you should be good.

I've done Coke multiple times with extremely fast heart rates, but I knew it was just the Coke so it didn't bother me at all. I didn't think it would be the Tramadol since it's supposed to decrease your heart rate so I was freaking out.

I'm the same - normal blood pressure but a naturally high pulse rate. It usually averages around 100bpm. I'm prone to tachycardia when I smoke meth because of this, but it's not something that overly concerns me. If I feel like it's getting too much, I'll just take benzos or an anti-psychotic.

Yea, I don't use Meth or any uppers except caffeine and nicotine. But my dr isn't concerned about it and I'm not either. I have always been this way.. so I just boiled it down to this is the way I am.. like the people who naturally have low blood pressure.
