As far as the whole thumbprint thing I think you are barking up the wrong tree. If you are looking to achieve spiritual clarity that is something you have to achieve on your own terms. No amount of psychedelics will ever give you that. All they do is amplify what is already present in you. In other words if you cant find the answers on your own youll never find them with a thumbprint. Youll just get a psychedelic ass whomping that you may never recover from. People that are given the thumbprint are usually at a stage in their life that they have already achieved that clarity. Without it handling something like that isnt possible.

Enlightenment isnt knowing everything its understanding all the things that you know.
If you dont feel like a complete entity already what makes you think a drug is going to give you that fulfillment?

Your not really going to remember anything during and after that much LSD is ingested friend for a fews days after, you'll probably have trouble even remembering how to speak English again.

Your going to have to fight to remember any of your past and rebuild yourself with the help of all the positive affirmations your baby sitters throw at you during your experience.

Just made me think of that old psychological trick, break a person down, build them back up.

In the army, lower ranks are screamed at, humilated, their sense of indivuality and self worth worn away. They are then "rebuilt" in the image of a soldier (and for years after excuse overbearing and obesessive behaviour as "the training". My dad was in the army ). The same is true of criminal gangs, colleges and psychotherapists chairs. Initiations of various kinds, aggressive, perspicatious and emotionally painful questioning, the tears etc.

Or worse, electroshock therapy.

Anyway I digress slightly, the purple haze does that to me. I can't help but think such massive massive overdose (without medical attention, weathering the storm on willpower alone) would indeed take a long time to recover from, for weeks perhaps, you would be cared for by your new friends in the family. A well organised group that demand respect, with strict rules, important traditions, working in seriously dangerous territory, dealing with big time criminals, contant DEA pressure. They certainly can't have somebody they can't trust 100%.

I'd say the weeks after such a completely ego shattering experience would be the perfect time to mould your new member into the right sort of person the family needs, they'd be a blank slate at first. I have no idea what a dose like that would do, but I can't help but wonder if "learn to speak English again" is that far off. I don't wanna say brainwashing, but if I wanted to sound sensational I could infer it.

I do make this sound sinister, but you could easily portray it in a nicer light, more peace and love, this one was just more cinematic. Still this thumbprint tradition can't have simply been the whim of a man many years ago with too much crystal LSD and some foolhardly prospective gang members.

I would imagine a dose that large would have a serious effect on your nervous system.

A friend of mine about a year back now decided to mouth-rinsed 7 empty vials of LSD with vodka at once to dose the remains of each, this guy could hold his stuff extremely well, so it was quite a shock to me when i saw him a few hours later unable to walk and having his body's limbs flail around uncontrollably, his eyes were rolling back into his head.. coming back into focus, closing his eyes and then repeating the same process over and over.. he was slipping in and out of psychosis.

The dose he took was roughly 12,000ug, at a drop of 200ug each. It reminded me of how a chicken acts when its head is cut off, the nerve endings going wild from been severed.

I've heard of people taking high doses but not 12,000ug but still very high than what you'd get in geltabs or even say a 10 strip of good LSD and they said how they blacked out for most of the experience.

how your friend felt? thats interesting,I didnt know you get eyes rolling back like from good mdma on very high lsd dose... and that was little 12mg thumbprint,average is 50mg I believe but that can be far from truth.

An individuals eye's can tell you a lot about there current mental state. The fact that he was repeating a process of rolling back, coming back into focus, closing his eyes, opening them and rolling back again was indicative that he was falling through a continuous mental loop.

At a dose that high i can only imagine he's come to realize an idea or concept that he's struggling to accept, and having it loop back on him over and over.

I'f you've ever observed someone on a high dose of DMT while there eye's are closed, you'll notice there eyelids become half-shut, but there eyes are rolling all around scanning through an infinite amount of information.

I've been in that situation before twice, once on these acid tabs that i took too much of and were way to powerful, but while it was happened, although my body had no control (i was on a bed the entire time with TOOL blasting in the room) my mind was completely there and activated it was amazing. The second time was on an 1/8th of mushrroms and i'm a small kid (115 lbs) and it knocked me on my ass, i don't like mushrooms at ALL but i LOVE acid.

It isn't gonna come to you for free. LSD is a commodity, be prepared to pay for that thumbprint with more then just money, your sanity, personality and sense of who you are.

an 1/8 knocked you on your ass? You are not prepared for a thumbprint.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of doses are we talking here in terms of hits? And if one eighth had that strong of an effect on you, not saying that it shouldn't, but that definitely means you still have a looooonnnnnnnnnnggggggggggg way to go before you're even close to ready for a thumbprint. Just take it easy and drop the occasional 3+ tabs, try shrooms a few more times (every experience is different), and enjoy the trips. If, down the line, you have reliable connects within the family and wish to further your journey, speak with them about doing so and I'm sure they'll be happy to set you on the right path. Enjoy your journeys and accept them as the come, don't attempt to change them. Good luck! :D
