ok, so i've heard plenty about drinking after taking vicodin and how bad that is for you and that you might die. granted, i know so many people who do this same thing as a weekend routine and they're those hardcore "oh i have such a high tolerance" drug using old wash-ups. sorry if that offends you, you god damn wash-up.

but in my self-righteous independent science formula of a brain, i have this idea that it has to do with the vicodin in the stomach being soaked with alcohol and it having a shit reaction and whatnot. alcohol exits your system rather quickly whereas hydrocodone exits after 4 days or something.
soooooo, it must be very different when adding vicodin hours after drinking, right? the alcohol is depleting rapidly through sweat and urine, so the vicodin that is about to enter won't have much of a reaction if it's just floating around meeting up with already digested alcohol mixed into the stomach bile.

(excuse my low-rate scientifics, im just not one to care for advanced terminology)

now, im not asking if it is fatal. im aware of fatality. but i've done this stupid combo before many times and the last time i did it too close together and i felt sick and hated it. but that was adding alcohol to vicodin.

i just want to know if im right, and that the science is different when it's the other way around, adding vicodin to alcohol.

i've got nothing else to do, man. i have officially overdone alcohol and it's not even the slightest bit fun unless i go to the puke-and-pass-out point where i forget everything. tolerance is way too high. easter sucks. i can't drive anywhere now, and my family will bitch because blah blah holiday togetherness jesus. drink this wine when we tell you you can drink this wine and we're gonna watch TV blankly cuz that's what healthy american families do!

oh man, you're sounding pretty washed-up yourself. and your theory holds no ground. i'm not sure if what you are said is coherent, but i am quite sure whatever you are trying to say is not valid.

the dangers of mixing CNS depressants are often exaggerated, but they exists. must, it kills celebrities all the time. the presence of alcohol can affect bioavailability, certainly in the case of opana for example, but that is not the primary danger involved in mixing alcohol with opiates. and i'm not even sure that is what you are talking about? "digested alcohol" in the stomach? alcohol is absorbed into your blood stream and then broken down by and/or in your liver; the process probably involves the word "enzymes" and all that.

It's not "Vicodin" It's APAP that is harmful to the liver... which is why combining alcohol is bad.. not only is alcohol another CNS depressant it is also toxic to the liver.. so mixing it is bad for a number of reasons. btw you sound like quite the moron. Cheers.

hah, yeah i should be real concerned about sounding like a moron on a druggie forum for deadbeats after drinking. oh no, the variety of negative opinions! SHIT!

ok so basically, the concern only involves the liver, and the pile-up of toxins. fantastic. ill do it anyways. feel free to piss all over my carelessly crafted sentences, oh superior bluelighters! your intelligence MUST be displayed! MUST!

If hydrocodone exits YOUR body after 4 days, you might want to get an enzyme check.

CNS Depressants often synergize, like alcohol + hydrocodone, leading to increased respiratory depression.

Just curious,

why would you address anyone this way?

particularly when you are asking for us to divuldge information to you.

address who? are you saying someone out there took it personally? oh no. that must have truly hurt those feelings of theirs, huh. :(

they should probably make a reply and insult my intelligence. it will make them feel a great deal better. and then, all will be well. god bless america.

no but seriously, insults. directed at no one. who cares? ill answer that one. nobody important.

^^ god its gonna be great when u come back to this board, years from now, and your vicodin popping and drinking turned into a full blown heroin addiction

i wonder if you'll still have that snide, smug, arrogance about you

I'm not sure what you are asking, but you seem to be getting at the fact that hydrocodone causes water retention. So technically, it should take alcohol longer to leave the system when you combine it with vicodin no matter which one you took first. Plus painkillers can constipate you while alcohol does the opposite. This combo can do more than just liver damage.
