Anyone else suffer from gaming addiction?

Diablo II expansion set and endless hell mephisto/baal/cow runs consumed close to four years of my life. I seriously played 5-8 hours a day for a large portion of this time and became morbidly obese (5'11, 285 lbs, no muscle at this point) . Also, super smash brothers melee and the halo franchises have been a large part of my life in the last few years.

not here recently because i havn't been able to play my 360. i usually become addicted when i play on xbox live, or when i buy a new video game.

I admit, 2 years ago I used to be a World of Warcraft nerd. I'm glad I was finally able to quit, because many times i "relapsed" and I would come back. I ended up making my friend take my account, and about a month later I finally realised how great my life was without it haha. I had my temporary driving permit for almost 2 years when I played WoW, and as soon as I stopped playing I finally got my real drivers license. I think if you play too much, you can really -damage- your social life haha. My friends didn't even bother calling me on Fridays to hang out when they realised I would never leave my house.

Now I just play xbox in moderation. I will NEVER go back to playing any online MMO ever again ha.

I think a gaming addiction is not as damageable as a meth or heroin addiction. But it can be damageable nonetheless, especially if there's money involved.
