A lot of us here have literally grown up on this site as we have all been around here for so long <3 So think back to back in the day, to how you are now - what's new about you? What are you more into now than you were back then?

Is it a new fashion trend or even creation of your own?

Or maybe even new music you've recently got into...

Or just anything at all! What are you now getting into that you haven't been into previously?

For me it's fur! Preferable animal printed too... yep, i am becoming a fur wearing granny! But hopefully a sassy one =D

And yes i never thought the day would come but i don't mind wearing real fur. I used to be sooooo against it, but then i thought what the hell! I eat meat and love it, i wear genuine leather shoes and handbags - why the fuck not just wear their fur while im at it! It's the same shit - just with more glam! ;)

What are you into now days?

I'm into Eugene Hutz's Supertheory of Supereverything.

And Fur is really gross. Mostly it's from types of animals that aren't eaten, especially in this country so slaughterhouse byproduct is not really a justification.

It also has such a brutal history with many Northern hemisphere animals such as otters nearly wiped out in previous centuries, and entire villages of eskimos wiped out with the alcohol they were forcefully addicted to in return for pelts. Super glamourous.

Nah beating people to death with a placard is more my style, rather than waving it in people's faces. Also I shower like twice a day and hate weed.
 
I should have elaborated, i am certainly not into endangered furs! Only rabbit and fox fur - i have been given a couple things recently made out of this and i quite like them, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Geeze wearing endangered furs is completely out of the question... it didn't even enter my mind to even consider.

Not everything has to be a debate in here. Or if you're going to debate at least think about things, and your own belongings before judging others.

^ My uncle shoot's Kangaroo's and Foxes for a living so he does defiantly does help the Flora and Fauna.

You should actually see what damage they do first hand...
 
Kangaroos are a hassle because agriculture has provided them with high nutrient food they wouldn't have had otherwise and high availability of it - thus population boom. They're not a threat to natural flora and fauna they are natural fauna.

Rabbits on the other hand I kill at work so it would be a little hypocritical condemning you for wearing them DFRS. Although I'm sure furs aren't coming from feral rabbits, they're probably farmed for that purpose.

Oh and not trying to be a cunt or condeming you DFRS, just sharing personal feelings (you know, conversationally). I assumed you wouldn't of course be wearing otters I was merely pointing out the dark history of the fur trade.

^No worries - i guess i was hoping this thread could be more about what peoples latest thangs are now days, rather than the other, but cheers for clearing up you aren't condemning me.

Yeah, I much prefer manual over automatic, but unfortunately I have to do my logbook in an auto car because Mum's is an auto and I haven't saved up enough for the one I want yet :(

Sorry dfrs - without context my comment wasn't very helpful...

I wasn't trying to slag you off at all, merely referring to my understanding that animals for meat + leather are killed quite quickly, knife to the throat styles, and that often the fur trade kills the animals with electrocution which can take quite a long time and be quite painful.

I may be wrong in this understanding and to be honest it doesn't actually bother me if you do wear fur anyway.

My latest thang? After moving house late last year and having over 30 shopping bags full of bills/statements etc that I had to shred and throw out, I'm now a scanning + shredding mad woman, on a mission to create a paperless household!
