Post A Quote

While people keep waiting and waiting for something big to happen in life, the "now" is passing them by. Do you know how fast a "now" passes? At the rate of 186,000 miles per second, the speed of light. So no matter how much you love and enjoy a particular "now," that's how fast it becomes a "was." ...That's why I never use the word "if" anymore. An "if" is a "never was."

- Comedian Sid Caesar

Some great quotes here guys. :) Some that I stored for whatever reason:

Age is something that doesn't matter, unless you are a cheese.
-- Billie Burke

People say conversation is a lost art; how often I have wished it were.
The newest computer can merely compound, at speed, the oldest problem in the relations between human beings, and in the end the communicator will be confronted with the old problem, of what to say and how to say it.
--Edward R. Murrow

Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.
--Abraham Lincoln

When you are content to be simply yourself and don't compare or compete, everybody will respect you.
--Lao Tzu

We come late, if at all, to wine and philosophy: whiskey and action are easier.
--Mignon McLaughlin

The rabbit snare exists because of the rabbit; once you've gotten the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words exist because of meaning; once you've gotten the meaning, you can forget the words.
--Chuang Tzu

Good and evil are relative, born from the human perception. However, this does not mean that they do not exist. All this means is that conflicts can erupt because of the relativity of good and evil.

Want to know what good is? Look around you. Look at yourself, look at the people you care about. Good, is protecting this, making it prosper, making it better.

Evil is what tries to harm and destroy it.

This may seem oversimplistic, but it's the truth. Now, tell me, answer this question: Think about the person you care the most about. The most precious person to you in the entire world. Now, imagine a dozen men come around and say "We will take that person, torture, rape and and enslave him/her." How far would you go to stop them? Would you hurt them? Would you kill them? Would you mutilate them? Would you do things which would get you mentioned in history books as a fucking demon just to protect that person you care about? Would you give up your humanity? The answer should be yes. Never back down, never be afraid to be "Doing something wrong" when stopping those who mean to do harm to what you care about. Use whatever means necessary. When you understand why a man who beheads another and catapults his head stuffed with explosives into his friends' home in order to dissuade them from ever trying to harm what he cares about is not evil, you will understand the true nature of good and evil.

"There's one sad truth in life I've found while journeying east and west - The only folks we really wound are those we love the best. We flatter those we scarcely know, we please the fleeting guest, and deal full many a thoughtless blow to those who love us best.”

-Ella Wheeler Wilcox
