Hey whats up,

Ive always checked stuff out on this site. Now I'm a member. I was a member on Drugs-Forum for a while, until somebody decided to give me undeserved negative reputation and that jackass mod Richi refused to help me out .... So I decided to leave there, besides, I don't want to be part of a community where the admin/mods don't give a shit about their forum members.

A lot less asinine rules here too, and this seems to be an all around better website.

Do you guys use SWIM here? I don't think i've ever seen anybody use the "someone who isnt me" thing, but just curious. Obviously, avoiding self-incrimination is a good idea, but what is bluelight's opinion of this?

Some people decide to use 'SWIM'. It really depends on you and how you feel about that information being on the internet and viewable by anyone. I don't notice many people on here that do, except for the occasional new member. Check out the Trip Reports forum and you'll notice almost no one uses SWIM.

Anywhoo, welcome to Bluelight! I hope you find it to be a welcoming and informative community!

I would not recommend using SWIM, you'll just get flamed every time you do it...

I go over to D-F once in a while, but it seems like no one there is over the age of 16...I think you made a good choice.

Welcome to BL, apathetic_xistence!! Came from df awhile ago myself.

AFOAF of SWIM has a pet marmoset who had a dream in which you were being welcomed to Bluelight.

It seems like that site is devolving into an ever-shrinking personality cult. All the admin there does these days is ask for money, yet nothing gets updated and more and more things on the site go into disrepair, even as people double and triple their monthly donations. I'd be surprised if it was still there in 2017, frankly.

No!!!
SWIM is discouraged to the point that it is specifically mentioned in the Bluelight User Agreement.

Please have a read - and welcome :)

use ineffective self-incrimination avoidance terms. Terms include but are not limited to: SWIM; my dog; etc.
