Ketamine Appreciation Thread: Ver Two Wonks Don't Make A Right

it wasnt misdirected medical supplys it was the mystical rose water bottles. "a friend of a friend" used to pay £500 a 1/2 lt. Thats about twice as much as that dry stuff you get mostly today. The only fact K's price dropped it because its (or was) getting commercially brought over by the container load by business men, insted of the odd dozen bottles of rosey that the travellers used to bring back or post back in the early 00's.

K's huge appeal and the facts its pretty easy to lay your hands on 'over there' simply meant if someone could be bothere, they could gt very very rich and the country could be swimming in the stuff.

I hope this drought is nothing more than the post xmas blues that happens fromn time to time as the big dawgs all put their feet up in jan and feb and jet off to places like thailand and goa and nothing gets done import wise.

Reading the Indain Times tho it sounds like the goverment is getting pressured much like our own did in 2000. I think they will ban it soon enuff and once india has been snuffed out so will our main supply.

K goes for silly money in the USA and Oz, I am sure someone said it was like £100 a g in Oz and when i was in Miami for the Wintermusic it was like £60. Why do u guys think you should be paying tenners? it dosnt make much sense when you stand back and look at the bigger picture
 
It doesn't make sense to pay £100 a fucking gram for one of the core medecines on the UN list which every country needs to have access to, in order to maintain even a simple health care system, and which is regularly and routinely used...

I think you're being a bit misty eyed about ket from 10 years ago and the difference now. Maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong, but it's already been disproved your idea the price has massively dropped. The supply and popularity has just increased. I doubt the ket will stop flowing, anyway, personally. Some people could do with a break though :D

Trying not to do ket atm personally, but I have an emergency bit stashed for a rainy day <3

totally agree with the ket heads loving bumping around - one major reason why I started disliking the average K-head so much...

as far as I know - illicit Chinese producers in CHina in one or a couple of instances have been executed, so yes a crackdown is happening a lil.

Ket at raves and in clubs, Subutex at teks... Quaaludes hugely successful during the '70 disco heydays... :\

Never really managed to understand the point of taking downers to go raving!

Nothing wrong with them as homely afterparty relief though (in moderation...)

I still don't understand why it's so expensive in the US etc.

Even if they don't have 'business men' importing containers like we have in the UK, people could still import vials for about £3/4 a gram from South America, India/Pakistan or Asia.

And I think your 'friend of a friend' really wasn't getting a great deal; the rose water stuff was a lot cheaper than that -- roughly the same price as the HCL stuff today for 50grams/litre, or so my friend says.

There will always be K and it should never be that expensive because as riklet says it's "one of the core medecines on the UN list which every country needs to have access to, in order to maintain even a simple health care system, and... is regularly and routinely used..."

It will always be produced for a low cost on a mass scale, even if the black market labs are stopped somehow. And where there's money to be made there'll always be people diverting it to the black market.

It was x a liter in 2000 i know that for a fact, last year it was x for a O (similar sizes if different format)

In 2000 most of the stuff was handballed or posted in.

In 2009 most of the stuff was imported in containers.

The containers have now been stopped but the handballing and posting continues.

Its basic maths it will go back to 2000 prices!

The street level dealer can still do £20 but £25 or £30 is more likely as making £5 from a £20 sale isnt good business, Bashing and smaller G's will also become more common.

Its not rocket science really. Better get used to it, the fact is we have all been rather spoilt with the low price for a while, yeah it stings but such is life

litre = 50g
O = 28g

by those numbers it has stayed the same/got more expensive and that price for an O is terribly high for last year, try almost half that

these inconsistencies make me think you really aren't all that clued up on the K trade

K was £30 a g in London in 1998
ANd a 1/4 g was plenty for the night if used infrequently
 
depends on how you use it though doesn't it? yeah you could get wonky for a good while on 250mg with no tolerance but you'd be pushing it to get 2 k-holes
 
Me & my mate got completely whacked out with several k-holes on & off at a squat party under the arches @ St Pancras on 250mg one of the first times I did it. We also banged a few pink callies that were £10 each & proper strong. And I nearly got my head kicked in for trying to pass Ritalin off as pharm grade speed but that's another story.

You dont buy it by the gram, you buy either a Bottle (500m) or a O
