What is a good dose of Adderall in terms of mg/kg?

I have looked around, but I can't find anything that describes a good amount of Adderall per killogram dose. I want to know so I can find a nice dose for my friend. I read that .3mg/kg would be a good one, and it seems like it's true, but I'd like to know from you guys.

mg/kg? I don't really know what that means but in terms of milligram: For someone that is not a habitual user of adderall looking to 'enjoy it', I'd say try 45mg.

However, there are plenty of people who are just fine at 25mg. So, it's a very subjective experience and 'acceptance' varies greatly. Rather under than overshoot your dose.

^ 45mg is way too much for a non-habitual user, first timer, someone with no tolerance, etc.

0.3mg/kg sounds about right, as that would be ~20mg for someone that is about 155 pounds. But really, doses are usually just measured in Xmg, as mg/kg isn't fully necessary or always the case. I think someone taking it for the first time should take 10-20mg their first time - they will definitely feel it, and if its not enough they can easily take more. But starting with a dose more than that (~20mg) could be uncomfortable or maybe even dangerous for an inexperienced (no tolerance) user.

mg/kg means X amount of drug in milligrams per one killogram that someone weighs.
Say the mg/kg is 5mg/kg. If someone were to weigh 50 killograms, then you would need ~250milligrams of the drug to reach a good high.

I think the .3mg/kg is only a threshold dose, so would about .5mg/kg be good?

When I take it I have no tolerance and 10mg is enough to go take the SAT and 20mg is enough to feel like I'm "speeding" as people put it. The one time I took like 80 or 100 mg, I was talking a mile a minute and tweaking horribly and stayed up that night rocking back and forth chapping my lips and hallucinating scary faces in front of me. I probably weighed around 160 at the time.

I'd go with 10-20mg for someone with no tolerance.

I think it really just depends on the person's bodyweight and how they react to different drugs.
Thanks to everyone who contributed.

I weigh 145-155 and 30mg XR is more than enough. 45mg would be a good time.

First time use, try a 20mg rapid release. Dose up a bit if you think you need it after a little over an hour.

Its pretty safe at whatever dose. Depends on what kind of effect you want to get from it though. 30XR first time for me, and I feel awesome on low doses (5mg-10mg dex). Be sure to take an antacid or whatever to feel the effects I do though!

So... in short: Take 20-40XR.

I'd say 25mg or so for your first time, you don't want to overdo it, that really sucks. Maybe have a benzo on hand for the come down just in case you're overly sensitive to it.

i'm not certain about adderall, but for dexamphetamine i'd suggest 20mgs
and considering adderall is approx. 75% dex
...i'd say; 25mg of adderall
:)

has anyone experienced a real high natural tolerance to dexamphetamine, adderall or ritalin?
i think i may be strange, i've had big doses of ritalin and dex before with underwhelming effects

i've had 120mgs of ritalin
and 65mgs of dex
i could completely control myself, wasn't talking fast and didnt feel all that euphoric
i found ritalin a much more social drug than dex

can anyone expand on this?
i would like to know why this could be happening

p.s. i am not a frequent user
well i wasn't, i now take small doses of dex everyday as adhd medication
not to get high
and this was also some time ago

i lived someplace for awhile where i couldn't get any speed....was eating 400 to 500 mg's of adderalls daily....it's like meth but with a lot less personality!

adderall isn't one of those drugs where the mg/kg rule applies like it does for DXM

Honestly, I don't think body weight has a hell of a lot to do with it. I weight a measly 110 (and am quite tall) and have no stimulant tolerance. I get adderall about once a month and take 65 mg at a time. It takes a minimum of 45 to feel anything at all.

Just start small-like ONE pill (a pill that would be prescribed for a new user...ie. 25mg perhaps).

*I'm with you, Corkraver. Apparently we're the odd balls.

Ok so i take 10mg of adderall a day for my ADD. All is does is make me a little hyper but not high... 20-30mg works better for a first timer

i've been sober from all drugs for 13 months until yesterday
and i took 90mg ....it wasn't fun, but no real danger.

i only weigh around 160ish

A buddy of mine takes one of his 10mg tablets and splits it in half and says it works fine for non-rec. use.
But for rec. use I'd say 45 to 60 MGs.
Just don't over-do it and spazz out or build a quick tolerance.

My non rec dose is 60mg, haha.
I miss the days with no tolerances haha.
