How safe is it to smoke pot with bronkitus?

I used to get bronchitis quite a bit back in college and smoking bud definitely made it worse. If I didn't smoke it usually went away within a few days on its own but if I was smoking bud it would not go away until I went to the doc, stopped smoking, and took some antibiotics. I suppose that would be considered chronic bronchitis as it never went away until I stopped for awhile.

when you have your respiratory system under stress, even the common cold, anything that irritates it isn't going to help or contribute in any way..its like having a cut in your arm and scratching it everyday, would it heal?

When I had my wisdom teeth pulled, and when I had bronchitis, I simply ate low dose brownies.

I've heard that this can delay the pace at which you heal at. I'm unsure of the accuracy of that statement.

Or go a week without miss J, call it a tolerance break. I wouldn't smoke shit.

I doubt that eating low dose brownies would slow the rate at which you heal.

This tread suprises me as to how bad of a stoner I am; I get bronchitis quite easily because I smoke a lot of hash; because I smoked it I never got bronchitis; but now I do around twice a year, its been months since the last time now though as I'm currently pretty healthy; but more then half of the times I catch a common cold (which by the way isn't that often, other then the angry lungs I'm a very healthy person) I get free bronchitis with it.

And the worst is, I just keep smoking during it. I do smoke less, I probably cut down from an average of 7-8 joints a day to two or three slow smoked ones. It still clears but its seriously unhealthy to do, but I thought most people just keep smoking when they have bronchitis :o appearantly not though.

Either way, last time I had it is half a year ago and it came with the mexican flu, which I'm not suprised about. I smoked it during that too. I'm worse then I thought.

Smoking weed stopped my astma attacks so I'd assume it is safe

Weed actually helps asthma because of how it opens your airways when you exhale. Nothing to do with bronchitis, a very different condition.

I doubt that eating low dose brownies would slow the rate at which you heal.

Me too, but I thought I'd pass on the knowledge that it is a possibility. I have yet to hear sufficient evidence to prove it one way or another. I've also heard nicotine can slow healing as well, even in the form of dip or snus or snuff. Again, I am not claiming to have enough knowledge to speak on the subject one way or another.
