I'm not sure how you can "disagree" that the purging is part of the Ayahuasca experience when the people who gave us ayahuasca (the shamans) told us that it's one of the most important part of the experience.

^you were the one giving advice on how to avoid nausea etc?!? I was agreeing with you in that i think nausea avoidance is good, but some people are going want that in their experience... geez

Additionally the fact that I disagree with something is the result of having formed and independent opinion. Many shamans also believe in curses and other esoteric & fanciful things. While I certainly respect their knowledge, that doesn't mean I have to agree with everything they say.

Yeah there are all kinds of shamans, from those who want to just take your money and leave you puking from a brugmansia and caapi brew to those who really know how to brew the good stuff and work with the plants.

You were asserting just a few posts ago that there were specific right & wrong ways to do this.

Recipe- Per Person

30-50g of Banisteriopsis caapi ("Cielo/White/Yellow" strain) thick stems
10-30g Psychotria viridis leaf
7-13g of Diplopterys cabrerana leaf
5-10g of Banisteriopsis caapi leaf



Don't take Syrian Rue.

It sucks.

I like syrian rue. It's a lot easier to just eat 2g of seeds than boiling a bunch of caapi.

And that is why plant drugs aren't for lazy people.

It takes effort to work with plants the right way.

Regardless, I know that obviously nausea & emesis are part of the traditional ayahuasca experience. However, given that I'm not religious, I'm not seeking the "traditional" experience, most of the time anyway. I've had difficult nauseating experiences & subsequent relief upon vomiting with extremely high doses of shrooms. While certainly cathartic, not always what I'm looking for.

So a shaman would be a person who communicates with "other worlds" via psychoactive compounds ?

sometimes B9, but that is a very narrow view of what a shaman can be and does.
