A question of age...

if dxm was the only drug i was able to get my hands on i think id just stay sober. thats just me though. but the op is from chicago i know for a fact there is some better drugs than DMX in that city
 
I never really started enjoying DXM until after I turned 18. My county decided that 21 is a good drinking age so for people who are between 18 and 21 N2O, DXM, and tobacco are really the only drugs you can legally buy.

DXM is shit now, but as a freshman, shit was so cash.
 
we didnt drink the robotussin and cough syrups, we would eat triple Cs but yeah the only reason why we did dxm in the first place was because we wouldnt pay for them and was able to spend our money on alcohol and weed lol..

it got to the point though where my one friend couldnt even look at red candy with out almost throwing up but it ended quicky when most of the stores we would hit up moved them behind he counter and this is way before every store put triple Cs behind the counter and locked up...

but yeah thizz i agree to me dxm just makes you feel dirty and nasty and ill

not recommended to anyone cause its pointless and disgusting

Its fairly easy to extract nitrous from whipped cream.

Nitrous is legal though so it's as easy as making your way down to your local cooking supply store to find some. That said you do have to be older than 18, but I dont think I know a 16 year old who isnt friends with at least one 18 year old.
 
get coughgels or something that contains only DXM...yes i believe the age is 18 for it, i've only done it once and cant say i had a pleasant experience

prolly not cause even when i was in highschool i was able to get my hands on weed coke pills just about anything.this was also14 yrs ago and texas border laws werent as strict as they are now so i group of ppl could easily go down there and bring back large amounts of rx meds. now if i was placed into a situation of high school where drugs werent around perhaps maybe id consider it. fuck i can remeber in 7th grade eating a buncha mini-thins cause ppl said theyd get you real fucked up. i never care to eat mini-thins ever agian

dissociatives have never been my thing i dont like K at all, and during HS we was helping my friends older brother(rip chris) get off acid so they few times i hjave used LSD was free from him. i quickly found out at 15yrs old that opiates were more my bag of tricks

i think there's a bit of an age difference at work here. i'm not trying to call you out or anything bob, i definitely get your point, but the rise of dxm (if you can call it that) happened after i had already reached adulthood so the whole idea sounds pretty lame to me. i may or may not have experimented with dxm had it been popular in my teen years. in high school we smoked cigarettes (stolen), bought weed, and paid homeless guys a few bucks to get us alcohol from liquor stores.

i echo the suggestion of finding an 18 year old friend to help out. forget the dxm, grab a few other supplies, and rent yourself a little motel room. partying down in a rented space (and normally wrecking shop a bit) was probably the most fun i had outside of mexico when i was underage.

as a more direct reply to the original post, erowid doesn't say anything about needing to be 18 in illinois but i'll try to find something more definitive.

edit: here is a link to the controlled substances act in illinois when dxm was first added. (see the new "Sec. 218. Dextromethorphan" section at the bottom.) i don't see any age restrictions listed there either.

just don't buy from walgreens since it looks like they have taken it upon themselves to prohibit sales to people under 18.

Spending <snip> for one hit of nitrous always seemed ridiculous to me. Where I live there is a place where you can buy cartridges in cases of 24 and they come with naked ladies on the box haha. Like people are using these cartridges that come in a box with naked women on it, to make whipped cream. Makes me laugh every time I see it.

If you're desperate enough to get DXM, I think you'd be desperate enough to extract nitrous from a can of whipped cream

To each their own. Im lucky enough to just walk up to the kitchen supply store and just get a case, but I guess not everyone can be so lucky.
 
OP you should be fine buying some tussin at the supermarket. Make sure its DXM ONLY as the active ingredient.

Also id just like to say that DXM is a valid and serious psychedelic. Alot of people seem to disregard sue it being legal and abused by teens. But that doesnt take away the fact that people experience some heavy and deep trips at 3rd plateau and above trips.

Im yet to try 3rd plat. but look forward to it.
