Anyone hate ritalin?

Im not saying caffeine produces a bigger rush, as that is obviously not true. But im saying due to shitty effects during and after i would rather have caffeine over ritalin.
 
When I was in school, I used to love it... but recently did it again and it was horrible. Once you get into doing recreational drugs, it really serves no purpose.

Sorry for all you crystal haters, but doing that, Ritalin doesn't cut it. And I totally agree with everyone on the shitty "body" buzz.
 
Kerouac wrote 'onthe road' in a multi day benzedrine binge. HS Thompson wrote 'Fear and loathing' in a four day speed binge. as did many others.

It's scripted 2 me but i save it up to eat during a once in a while, by which time i have loads, multi day story to write/essays. Good for concentration alertness.

yer it's amazing the street value here 10mg-$5, 20mgsr $10, apparently it's quite sumthin when shot, similar to Coke.
 
Everyone says that if you snort it, the effects are similar to cocaine. I think that it's even mentioned on Wikipedia.

I've taken racemic and Dextro only methylphenidate. While the d-ritalin was better than the regular racemic mixture it still felt like a cocktease amphetamine. It just never quite reaches the correct plasma level and you constantly have to redose to maintain a plateau effect.

I also took it then while in school but strangely enough it did calm me down and it did not give me a "high" like cocaine or speed have.

When I wrote that it calmed me down it was not like a downer like opiates that relax you, but it made it so my mind did not wander so much and I wasn't confused or so random about things if that makes sense.

I did try snorting 15mg of it before and that was a 5mg pill of the IR (instant release) and a 10mg pill of IR too and years later when I had tried coke it sort of did remind me of snorting Ritalin but coke was much a much cleaner and very shorter high than snorting Ritilian was and the only horrible crashes I have ever had were from cocaine and never from Ritalin or from pharm Amphetamines. That's the only time I really ever got a high from Ritalin since I never did when I took it orally.

Ritalin and coke are pretty much identical as far as their primary made of action.
 
I don't like it but thats cause of my add it just makes me a zombie. I zone at the t.v. comp or game so hard it makes my head hurt.
 
Ritalin was the first thing I got high on too, I was 14 and loved it. Now it don't like it much. I'll do a little if it's given to me for free but any more than about 10mgs makes me feel crappy.
 
I honestly prefer Ritalin to several other stimulants. For work purposes, I eat 10-20 mg and take 10 mg rails every 1-3 hours as needed to keep going. For recreation, I start with 20 mg snorted and work up, sometimes combine.

I find that Ritalin has the best compromise between euphoria, peripheral effects and duration.

I guess I'm just an oddity.

Now that I think about it, actually, a friend of mine who is extremely similar to me also prefers Rit to other stims and ADD meds. I guess it just takes a certain kind of person to really enjoy it.

I should also note that snorting it and taking it orally are two completely different games.
 
Insufflated IR methylphenidate is somewhat enjoyable at best. Orally the dysphoria seems to overpower any benefits in concentration that it produces. It is just too uncomfortable to allow for proper concentration. Adderall/dexidrine are FAR superior.
 
the only part similar to coke is probably the first hour of the high. after snorting 50mg i feel energetic and want to talk alot. after that hour, i get real quiet and feel like shit. way too much peripheral nervous system effects for me. i put it in the same recreational value as propylhexedrine. maybe one step above. cocaine is way better than ritalin. ritalin shouldnt even be mentioned in the same sentence as coke. and personally the XR, like Concerta, sucks even bigger balls. i dont have any ADHD at all and i fucking hate it. i stick with coke and crystal.

ritalin is terrible imo. after experiencing meth, ritalin's effects are comparable to those of too much coffee...anxiety, a bit of annoying sketch, and very little else. is it helps some people with legitimate adhd or something, great, but i don't think it has much recreational value.
 
Wow so many ritalin haters !

Ive used adderall and dextroamphetamine a decent amount over the years but have not tried ritalin till pretty recently .

I liked it .
While adderall and dex seemed to get me high .ritalin did its job and simply just made me concentrate . Adderall and dex does this too but i found these two come with some greater side effects .

For some reason even though Ritalin is less potent its still better for me due to the fact that it doesnt have nearly as many side effects .

This would probably come in useful for when i wanted to study all day before an exam . If i was on dex or adderall id study but wouldnt sleep and id wake up feeling like shit the next day wishing i just studied sober .

With ritalin id wake up rested and ready to take the exam . I dont get a crash off it i have no idea why .
 
Like Psychedelic Jay said, THE FUCKING COMEDOWN IS GOD-AWFUL and it's not even worth the shitty, jittery fugazi cocaine high it provides when a rapid-acting ROA is used.

D-amp/Dexedrine > Ritalin any fucking day haha
